Air-conditioned rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. Amenities include an LCD TV, fridge, a safe and yukata robes. All rooms have a private toilet and washbasin, while bathroom facilities are shared. Green tea sets with snacks are provided. The private onsen were extremely beautiful, the traditional japanese rooms with tatami mats were spacious and a great experience to stay at. We had a booked the plan with breakfast and dinner and the meals were absolutely exceptional abundant. The staff was also really friendly. All in all we had the most relaxing time and really fell in love with this place.

A bar, lounge and bakery are available. The location in Miyanoshito was amazing, and very handy for transport options. The breakfast and general dining facilities were outstanding. Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu is situated a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Subway Station, near Nakamise-dori Street and Senso-ji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station provides direct access to Ueno, Shibuya and Ginza areas, and also to the Narita and Haneda international airports. That has been an authentic experience! Staying in ryokan was amazing - room with tatami floor and futon was exactly what we needed to compliment our stay in Japan. The owner and staff were great and helpful. The bath on the top floor has very good facilities and unmatched view. We will definitely be back

Featuring a spa and wellness centre, the 5-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. It's a little like stepping back in time to the old Edo era. It's a traditional Japanese styled like home. It's walkable from the train station, our room was fantastic and comfortable. We had private access to a sauna and large soaking tub for 45 minutes which was very relaxing after a day out. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. A traditional Japanese breakfast was served in the room as well. It's a highly recommended place.
