Close to Togakushi Shrine, 宿屋白金家 yadoya-shiroganeya 1日1組限定2名から8名様まで 全館貸切り 伝統的建造物の旅籠宿 Traditional culture experience is set in Nagano and has a hot spring bath and garden. The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 20 km from Zenkoji Temple. The ryokan also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We loved everything about our stay at Yadoya Shiroganeya. Maki is an excellent host and her mother is an amazing cook! The local food of Nagano was delicious and hand picked by Maki herself. We had fun making friends with the resident pets Fukumaru and Kenta. We were even lucky enough to see snow during our stay, but we were cozy and warm inside at all times. There are so many lovely touches to this property that made it one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We hope to visit again!

Takimi Onsen Inn that only accepts one group per day features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 9.1 km of Otsumago and 9.3 km of Kotoku-ji Temple. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan has facilities for disabled guests. The drive up to the location was gorgeous, the host picked me up from Tsumago and after my stay dropped me off to the Nagiso train station. While the host speaks limited english, he is a wonderful conversationalist and a joy to talk to. The accommodation itself is very spacious, the interior design beautiful, and the onsen baths were at really comfortable temperature for me. While I was unable to eat all of the food they served (I have a small stomach, not their fault), I really wish i could have, because I think it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I will definitely come back some day.

Berg Marukaneya is located in Nozawa Onsen, 2 km from Lake Hokuryuko. The ryokan is a 3-minute walk from the nearest ski field and has a ski pass sales point. Guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. A free public hot spring bath facility called Nakao-no-yu is a minute's stroll away. My husband and I loved our stay here. Only a 2 minute walk to the lift and 10 minute walk to the center of the village with lots of restaurants. We were provided with the traditional futon beds which was an interesting and not an all together uncomfortable experience. The room had a toilet and sink, but the showers were public by gender on a different floor (didn’t love that but we’re American and not used to it). The free breakfast is exceptional and the staff is oh so kind and helpful. We would stay here again.
