Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to, and the inn made for a great stay. Also the sentō baths were a welcome addition and were nice for relaxing into! The area is calm (for which the only downside is that there isn't a lot of choice for restaurants around), close to transportation and good for sightseeing around Mastushima — we took the sightseeing ferry around the bay and had a great time.

Objekat Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN je smešten na idealnoj lokaciji u gradu Ōwani, i to u četvrti Owani Onsen, na 42 km od znamenitosti Jezero Towada, 43 km od znamenitosti Arheološko nalazište... The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! They helped me securely store my bike and when I first got on the room they brought me a thermos with boiled water so I could have some tea immediately. The onsen itself was small but was pretty empty whenever I went, with good opening hours to suit all lifestyles.

This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Objekat mt. Inn(マウントイン）, koji se nalazi u gradu Nihommatsu, na 10 km od znamenitosti Železnička stanica Nihonmatsu, nudi smeštaj sa vrtom, besplatnim privatnim parkingom, zajedničkim salonom i... Breakfast was very nice. I enjoyed the japanese breakfast with fish; curry, oden with miso soup and rice. The osen would clean and not crowded. The area is great for hiking for all levels. I 76 yrs old...but the hike downhill from the hotel was beautiful. The few shops provide manji and cookies for purchase. The wifi was excellent. The local bus to Nihonmatsu is very cheap.

The buffet have local cuisine and breakfast was also have a wide spread. Definitely a place for you to enjoy and relax. They also provide free ride from the bus stop to the hotel directly. You can also book a private bath directly at the hotel if the room type don’t come with it at an additional cost.

Objekat Takasagoya Ryokan se nalazi u gradu Zao Onsen, u regiji Yamagata, na 2 min. hoda od znamenitosti Ski rizort Zao Hotsprings. Shu san and his family was so kind to me and nice they made me feel at home. Also the ryokan location is winner,you have public onsen in front of the ryokan. If you like to feel the Japanese tradition then this is for you.

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Okawaso offers accommodation in Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. We had an incredible stay here: the ryokan is impressive (especially the arrival with the person playing the shamisen), very beautiful, the food excellent and adaptable (we took vegetarian meals), the establishment is child-friendly (e.g. yukata at their sizes, arrival kits, high chairs and adapted cutlery), the room is magnificent and very suitable for a family. A bookable shuttle service is in place and works very well, allowing us to leave and arrive from Aizu Wakamatsu station. We also reserved the outdoor bath for private use: incredible! The staff is adorable and helpful: thank you very much!

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. The entire experience was extraordinary. We were greeted with welcome drinks in front of a fire, and led to our room by courteous but hospitable staff. Our 3-person room faced a quiet garden, and we enjoyed delicious cake and tea before being led to the dinner. There was a pair of yukata and a pair of more modern pajamas in the room, along with a warm jacket and a pair of socks for each person. There was a toilet in our entrance hall, and a sink and mirror in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both served in an independent Japanese room located in the older building, and our server conversed with us in fluent Mandarin and English. We loved the exquisitely made Japanese dinner and breakfast, every single small dish and platter of it! The two hotsprings were also delightfully pleasant. The indoors medicinal bath was small but very clean, while the outdoor bath was much more spacious. For some reason, we did not meet many people using the bath either in the evening or the morning. We opted for a shuttle bus to leave the hotel in the morning. The hotel was very helpful with answering questions and reserving shuttle service through the booking.com chat room in English. We were extremely happy with our stay, and hope to stay longer next time.

Objekat Aoni Sanso, koji je smešten u gradu Senboku, na 7,6 km od znamenitosti Termalni izvor Nyuto, u ponudi ima smeštaj sa vrtom, besplatnim privatnim parkingom, zajedničkim salonom i barom. The food was amazing. The people were very nice and helpful.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Highly recommended. The staff are standout super efficient, always available and friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean and newly refurbished (especially the rooms). The Japanese breakfast was an amazing experience. If we had to do this northwest region again we'd definitely repeat this as our base.
