All services — at a top notch. Great choice for a few days relax from Tokyo hype.

The location, ambiance, rooms, onsen, and food were all excellent. I would recommend this stay for anyone who wants close access to Shirakawago. We had our own car, though it seems you could also utilize their shuttle service with some advanced planning.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. Fantastic place ! The structure, the staff,the room, the food, everything was just perfect.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. Location was amazing- walking distance from the station and from the old town. The place was beautiful, and the rooms had everything. Futons were very comfy. The onsen was the best I tried so far (but I haven’t tried a lot). We did the private bath, and it was really nice. They also lend you yukatas to wear around the ryokan. And the staff were very friendly, hospitable and helpful!

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. Amazing tatami room overlooking the river. Good individual fridge and toilet. Well equipped kitchen. Amazing common rooms. Really a great place to stay at a good price. Helpful and kind staff, really. Great location.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. Excellent: beautiful location, amazing staff, great service and excellent facilities. Definitely our best stay in Japan. No low prices, but certainly worth it!

The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

Syukaen Yunohanazen se 4 hvězdičkami se nachází v destinaci Atami. Zhruba 1,2 km od ubytování se nachází Pláž Atami Sun Beach, 27 km daleko je Hakone-Yumoto Station a 29 km Chrám Shuzenji. There's a lot of food for everyone, even for kids. And the food is very delicious. Room is comfortable, shuttle is convenient.

Hakuunsou se nachází v destinaci Takajama a nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách a výhled na hory. Takajama vlakové nádraží se nachází 48 km od ubytování. The owner was so nice and the onsen felt great! They made delicious food and the rooms were very nice.

Iroriyado Hidaya se nachází v destinaci Takajama a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm a sdíleným loungem. Takajama vlakové nádraží je 1,6 km daleko. Ochotný a velice milý personál. Ubytování bylo čisté a pohodlné, onsen příjemný 👍
