I Atami, 1,7 kilometer fra Atami Sun Beach, ligger SOKI ATAMI, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en terrasse og en restaurant. We loved our terrace room and 17:30 dinner wich was carefully curated and delicious. Everything was excellent. This hotel has really good wibe.

I Shirakawa-go, 45 kilometer fra Hida Minzoku Mura landsbymuseum, ligger Onyado Yuinosho, Shirakawago, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering, en restaurant og en bar. We stayed for four nights. The atmosphere in the hotel is wonderful if you seek tranquility and relaxation. The Onsen was just great and we used it everday. Also the food quality was exceptionell (Kaiseki style). We were 100% satisfied with our stay.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. The place is absolutely beautiful. By far one of the nicest hotels I've been in. Every detail is well thought of, and the location near Takayama Old city is great.

I Shimoda, 33 kilometer fra Kapp Koibito Misaki, ligger 横川温泉湯殿ととのゆ, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. We will be back! WOW. This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!!

Syukaen Yunohanazen tilbyr 4-stjerners overnatting i Atami. Overnattingsstedet ligger 14 minutters gange fra Atami Sun Beach og 27 kilometer fra Hakone-Yumoto stasjon. Two different hot spring baths, nice spread of food served to room for breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff but a bit weak on speaking English.

I Takayama, bare 48 kilometer fra Takayama stasjon og 26 kilometer fra Kamikochi ligger Hakuunsou. Very friendly host. Amazing outdoor private onsen. Hida beef dinner was perfect.

I Takayama, 18 minutters gange fra Takayama stasjon, ligger Iroriyado Hidaya, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. -staff was so kind and welcoming. Spent time with us to explain nearby areas and restaurants, spent time with my daughters to try on kimonos. Everyone was so kind and amazing. -Room was awesome and spacious. We had 2 children (age 11 and 8), 2 adults. We enjoyed the room and space. -Bedding (futon, comforter, pillows) was high end quality. Excellent comfort and clean. -Yukata robes in the room for each person to wear to onsen and in the house -Japanese breakfast was delicious ! We had 2 breakfasts, the menu was different each morning. -Hotel is not in the downtown area but we liked that. We enjoyed being away in a quiet area and the walk was not bad. Taking taxi was also easy and cost about 1,000 yen each way. -Onsen was very nice, and private. Super clean and so enjoyable to relax after a full day out. We stayed for two nights and while it cost more than other hotels, it was well worth it. Everything was superb. The selection of beautiful kimonos were amazing; I ended up buying 2 (one for my daughter, one for me). We can’t wait to go back and visit the staff, and experience the quietness of Takayama.
