Our first night (of the 3 nights) we had a large douvet. However, when the room was cleaned on day 2 it appeared to be changed to 2 single duvets which did not have any covers on them.
Breakfast was great

Dubrovnik card for 3 days is perfect if you stay 3 days and want to visit museums. It is suffucient with 1 - 1.5 day of you just want to see all historical and natural attractions, including the wall and Lokrum. Try to visit the wall and town at 8.00 in the morning, it is overcrowded the rest of the day.

The town is too crowded, so please visit in the off season.
The town is too crowded, so please visit in the off season. There are cruise ships which dock in the town and when they release their passengers the town becomes unbearably packed with shoulder to shoulder tourists, many of whom are too distracted taking selfies and generally unaware of the surroundings. The old town is charming, with lots of history but you'll have trouble getting around because of the number of tourists, many of whom are only interested in taking selfies before the Game of Thrones sites.

Dubrovnik is a wonderful place to visit.
Dubrovnik is a wonderful place to visit. It is not only steeped in history but the old town has a charm all of its own. Quaint streets with beautiful stone buildings, cobblestone footpaths and many areas to explore. The Rectors Palace is stunning and well worth visiting as is so many of the museums and church's within the walls of the old town. We particularly enjoyed the maritime museum, the aquarium was fabulous especially if you have children. Fort Lovrijenac was also a favourite not only for the Fort itself but the stunning views it gives of the old town in all its glory. From the port in old town you can take one of the many boat excursions. We opted for the ferry to Lokrum Island. There is much to explore on the island from old monasteries to spectacular botanic Gardens and views around every corner. It is also a great place to go swimming be ready to spend a whole day here. We had a wonderful lunch in Lacroma restaurant, 2 courses for €19 with a discount before 12.30. The food was exceptional. Another place that is a must is the Homeland War Museum which sits perched on a hill above Dubrovnik which can be reached by Cable Car, car, taxi. View from here are spectacular and a meal at the Panarama Restaurant tops off the day nicely. Really good food and service here too. There's so much to do in Dubrovnik it's a very special place. If you're adventurous I'd highly recommend Du the Wire 900 metre zipline 4km outside the town. It's an adrenaline rush that is second to none!

Fantastic city with lots of history and well preserved...
Fantastic city with lots of history and well preserved historical buildings in the old city. Great bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours. Eating out can be quite pricey in thr old town. Easy to walk around, cheap and plentiful local buses. Hop on hop off buses a great way to get lay of the land. Plenty beaches close by. Cable car up to Mount SRD was great and gave jaw dropping views of the city from 450m above. Options of Zip line and sky bike, as well as buggy tours and hiking trails mean something for everyone. Advised best time to visit is May and September when air and sea temperature the same (25/25) and only like this for a 3 week window. Very busy between June to August. Plenty options for day trips to outlying islands and further afield. Local people were very friendly and happy to speak English.

Dubrovnik is beautiful, full of history and culture.
Dubrovnik is beautiful, full of history and culture. Plenty of beautiful beaches, amazing restaurants and cafe/bars.
We went to Banje beach, which was very busy but was easy to get a spot with a towel.
The Dubrovnik city pass is €35 and gets you entrance to multiple attractions, worth it if you want to go to any of the museums, city walls, fort and rector’s palace. Beware if you buy a day pass that certain attractions are closed on certain days!!
We ate at Konoba Koloseum, we had rib-eye steak and cuttlefish risotto.
We also ate at Barba, and had the platter for 2 people.
We ate on Lokrum island at Lacroma, and had the meat pasta and the fish stew. The menu was different to online.
Cocktails at all cafes/bars were expensive, and spirits don’t include the cost of a mixer.
The old town is very busy, even in May. Attractions such as the city walls were very busy so going early is a must!
Warning: There are lots and lots of steps in Dubrovnik!!

What a beautiful little city.
What a beautiful little city. Everyone is super friendly and warm. Too many gelato options which were all great! Views are incredible everywhere you go, and the beaches are nice (although some pebbly). Overall 100% recommend for a fun and relaxing trip. Lots to do and lots to see in the old town so make sure you get the 1/3/5 day pass. Good transport system and very safe as we stayed out past midnight and it was still full in the city and people getting gelato and we got the bus everywhere.
Restaurant More was lovely for food and views. Gradska Kavana Arsenal the food was incredible and very affordable plus the views too. We didn’t have a single bad meal, everything was delicious and well flavoured! it was just a great wonderful trip and can’t wait to go back with friends and family!
The hotel is clean and lovely, there is a nice balcony with beautiful view. Marko (the owner of the hotel) was super nice, he gave us a lot helps and tips for traveling around Dubrovnik. There are also towers provided for go to beach. And some resturant we went around the area are much better than those in old town.
If you travel in 2 ppl, just take a uber, the price are almost same comparing with airport shuttle + bus, and save a lot of times.
The overal experience staying here is great. Highly recommand.
This place is just amazing! Pristine clean, cozy, with all the amenities you could possibly imagine, the furniture is brand new, bed is spacious and extremely comfortable, there is a big, beautiful terrace with great view of the surrounding hills.
The place is located within 10 minute drive from the main entrance to the Old Town.
Host is great, responds immediately and is very kind!
I think, this is best value/price place you could find in Dubrovnik, im booking this again next time!
Highly recommended!
The view overlooking the sea is beautiful, especially at sunset. Most (if not all) of the rooms have a seaside view with a balcony. We were really lucky to receive a last minute upgrade when checking in and our room was fabulous. The staff were so friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Such a lovely hotel to spend our last few days in Dubrovnik and there is also a bus that leaves directly outside the hotel that takes you into the Dubrovnik old town (this is free if you buy the Dubrovnik pass). .
A great location by the beach. The nearest supermarket is a ten minute walk away along the sea front. Uber is incredibly efficient and cheap so you pop into the old town in Dubrovnik whenever you want (although the journey can take 20+ minutes if the traffic is bad). There's a lovely beach bar (Ponat) a one minute walk away and some fancier hotel beach clubs/bars/restaurants (Coral/Copacabana) another five or ten minutes walk after that.
Great location! In the old town but close to Budva gate, so you don’t have to carry your luggage all the way down the steps. This is honestly the best location if you have luggage. This was a huge plus in Dubrovnik where there are huge stairs EVERYWHERE! It’s also meant you were close to an exit gate if you wanted to get an Uber etc. comfy bed, good aircon, cute little place and the host were lovely!
Calm however very well located (20mins by walk from the city center, closest beach is within 5 mins). Host is very nice and flexible. We did not know when we booked but the apartments are shared with Nuns whom taking care about the garden and live there generally. It was amazing, we got Blessed when we left. None of the 5 star luxury hotels have this service :)
The location is perfect! A short 20 minute walk takes you to Dubrovnik Old Town in one direction, or Lapad in the other direction meaning you don’t have to get taxis if you don’t want to. The hotel is very modern, clean and tidy and the views are amazing. The staff were all very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rixos.
Good location - not too far to walk into Dubrovnik old town and away from the main road so nice and peaceful, right next to a 5 star hotel. Really friendly owners who live 2 floors above the property and who gave us useful advice on arrival. Property was very good value for money and we enjoyed the outside terrace area.
starting from the very friendly and helpful staff to the beautiful facility, I am very satisfied with everything. Very clean hotel, with Copagabana beaches nearby as well as markets. the bus station is 50 meters away from the hotel, where you are in Old Town Dubrovnik in 15 minutes. I highly recommend.
The staff, room size and proximity to transportation (
bus, ferries) , very good breakfast with
some made to order items. The fact that it is not
near old town to me is plus because old town is
just so crowded and crazy.
And the Dubrovnik brewing company is about
a 200 m walk from the front door!
Quite simply the most beautiful hotel room view we have stayed in. We would often have the window open and loved the ambiance created by the gentle sound of the waves on the secluded beach below.
Walking distance to Dubrovnik Old Town, tasty breakfasts and a relaxing pool/gym area.
This is a luxurious hotel with incredible views of Dubrovnik. The staff is extremely helpful and the rooms are lovely. We had a problem with the A/C one night and they moved us to a new room without a problem. We especially enjoyed the pool area and the proximity to the old town.
Awesome Location. Super hotel, service. Great with the direct access to the ocean for a swim, nice spa and not at least the short 7-8 mins walk into Dubrovnik Old town. We also loved the view from the terrace and breakfast area over the ocean and to the town.
Denis is an amazing host, very kind and helpful. Apartment is beautiful with an amazing view. Very near to old town, easily reachable by taxi at very low fare. Best part is this apartment has a parking which is very much required in Dubrovnik.
The hotel is located in the best place in old town. So easy in and out to everywhere in Dubrovnik. Plus it isn’t just a room, but with a sitting or dinning room extra which is really great!
Obviously, it is no fancy 5 star-hotel but absolutely perfect for a short stay in Dubrovnik. It is small but very clean and well organized. The host is extremely friendly and welcoming!
Rixos is one of the top luxury hotels in Dubrovnik for many reasons. Located near the Old Town, you have fantastic views of the Adriatic with amenities that are very modern.
