Great breakfast, sitting right on the marina. There were 3 different types of sauna, an indoor infinity pool and lounge areas with great views, all included in the room price. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful.

We had a beautiful view from our room. the location was good for one of our guests who had mobility issues and there are two ways to the hotel from the parking lot, one is along cobblestone streets and more steps and the other a little longer but flatter and easier to walk / carry bags. They offer assistance with carrying baggage which was helpful too.

Hvar is the largest city on the Croatian island of the same name within the Adriatic Sea. The wildly undulating coastline formed a natural harbour here, a fact which didn’t go unnoticed by the Venetians, who captured it as part of their empire. The Venetian Fortress sits atop a hill and 13th-century ramparts descend to the old town.
Another castle from Napoleonic times is on a different hill offering beautiful views over red roofs towards the offshore Pakleni islands sheltering the port. Ferries link Hvar to neighbouring Brač and Vis islands, Split and Ancona in Italy.
Given the size of the city, the amount of Hvar accommodation is staggering, and Booking.com offers everything from luxury hotels with pools to cheap guest houses and beachfront apartments. Although most beaches are rocky, their scenic setting and warm turquoise waters are still a draw.
At the heart of the city is the largest square in Dalmatia. Restaurants and bars spill out onto its cobbles, ending at St Stephen’s Cathedral with its see-through belltower. Around the same time the cathedral was going up, one of Europe’s oldest theatres was constructed in the waterfront Arsenal. The Loggia is the only remain of the Governor’s Palace, and the Hvar Heritage Museum helps to put all this in context.
Hvar was amazing. The island and views were beautiful.

Beautiful old town.
Beautiful old town. Spectacular view of many surrounded island from the Napoleon trail. The city provided plenty of seating benches throughout the city and rural. I visited other towns in this island that have the same relaxing standards. Thanks to the Croatia government.
However, October was not a good month to get access to island tours and most restaurants. I was told that April to September is when the businesses open fully.

I only went to the old town, arriving by ferry in the evening. Absolutely beautiful but even in October it was way, way over touristed. I decided to stop contributing to the problem myself by changing my plans and leaving early the next morning.

Hvar is incredibly charming and I wish we could have stayed a few more days. It's a high energy environment with young and older tourists alike, gorgeous historic spots like the Fort and really great shopping (dresses, jewelry, pretty handbags on trend all reasonably priced from a Boston perspective).

Hvar is for you if you love being near the water and sitting in the sunshine. Things i wish I’d taken, more cash, many places operate on a cash only basis and they cash machines charge up to €10 to withdraw from. The cheapest bakeries which are also delicious are near the bus station. Bring insect repellent and insect bite treatments and also bring your own sunscreen as it is incredibly expensive to purchase it on the island.
Take shoes you can comfortably walk up and down stairs in and on cobbled streets.
Best places to east for me were Kantun, Coffee snob, sweet treats bakery and Fig Hvar.

Hvar has the most beautiful water I have ever seen, if you take a trip with a taxi boat to one of the smaller island, you'll have a wonderful time. There's a nude beach where fortunately not a lot of people go to cause they're scared of nakedness.
Its super party touristy in the main town. Rich british boys and old white men.. everything is super expensive. There's no buses driving around the island so you'll have to rent a scooter or walk a long distance.
it’s my best stay in Croatia. First, the room is very clean and spacious with a cute balcony. Second, perfect location: a short walk to the busy city centre but far enough to escape the party noise. The last but not the least, Vinka and her family are super nice and friendly. I lost my ferry ticket to Dubrovnik and Vinka saw someone post it on Facebook group so she had to call a few contacts to help me retrieve it. I can’t thank them enough. Hvar is amazing because of the beautiful like them!
Wow Linda was the best host with great recommendations on where to go on the island! Greeted me with a beer and a few maps to show me what sites to visit and where to eat at. Dropping her name gets you discounts at places since she's so well known. The pictures of the apartment didn't fully convey the beauty of the actual apartment - especially the balcony - that view is ridiculous! I will definitely stay here again if I'm back in Hvar!
Hotel Podstine is situated in a beautiful, secluded bay with excellent (sea) swimming right off the front. Sun lounging area is nice - although could benefit from furniture upgrades and service to sun beds. This beautiful location is the main selling point of the hotel. It is a 20 minute walk into main Hvar town - this didn’t bother us but could be a problem for others. Breakfast was pretty nice - just get there early for fresher food.
Fantastic place with all you may want for a stay in Hvar: pool for the hot midday hours, short walk to port for sightseeing, dinner, night life and beaches. Excellent buffet breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with mini fridge. We arrived at noon and were allowed to leave our bags at a storage room; we were given towels to enjoy the pool while waiting to check-in. Strongly recommend this hotel.
We have been to the town of Hvar 2 years ago, went for a day trip to Palmižana and decided that we will come back one day here for a holiday, it happened sooner than we thought but it was a very good decision. Paradiso is a unique B&B on the island, there are no hotels, a few rooms maybe. You have to follow certain rules for electricity and water usage but that is normal here, everything else is a fairy tale..
Lovely location right on the beach. Nice pool in back that miraculously had a water view as well. Excellent buffet breakfast that you could happily eat indoors or on either of their waterfront terraces. We had a nice balcony that looked out over the beach. The hotel is in a tiny town of 6 restaurants and is a five minute drive from the chaos of Hvar town. Very nice crew working the hotel and restaurant.
A beautiful hotel just a few minutes walk from where the ferry docks in Hvar. A very warm welcome and an excellent room with two balconies overlooking the harbour provided the perfect opportunity to sit with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. Super comfy bed and well appointed throughout. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Will be very happy to return.
Lovely family owned property. Petar and his daughter Ana were amazing hosts at this idyllic remote spot near Hvar town. The crystal clear waters gave great opportunity for swimming, cayaking, snorkeling etc. We ate at the hotel 2 nights and enjoyed the BBQ with amazing Dorada and Sea Bream the first night and turbot on the 2nd.
The property has a great location near Hvar Town,
10 minutes walk maximum. It is near to the Beach Club
Hvar and the harbor. Hotel was clean and well
equipped. I loved the sea view, perfect pools and
easy access to the sea. Staff was very friendly and
they have dry cleaning service as well.
If this place is available, BOOK IT. My friend described the view as, “quite possibly the best possible view in Hvar”. Tonka, the host, was tremendous and seemed to be available for me at all hours of the day. The room was cute, updated, and close to the heart of it all.
the room is clean and comfortable , the staff came to ferry port helping us to bring luggage to the hotel , my hubby got injury when we were biking in Hvar, the staff is very helpful , he brought us bandage and ice to handle the swelling wound. highly recommend
Hvar is rally beautiful seen from the hotel . People who attended the hotel éter real kind and respectful. The room was excellent and we had an upgrade . Breakfast was incredible with salmon, different kind of bread etc etc
Perfect location: 3’ walking from harbour, in the very heart of beautiful Hvar Town, 15’ from nice beach clubs.
Finally a room with a fridge (not every hotel / b&b offer that around here!)!
Very comfortable bed.
we stayed at hotel fortuna for 2 nights and it was fabulous. the taxi service from the hotel to hvar town is great and cheaper than a taxi.
the family couldn’t do enough for us and we look forward to returning
one of the best location you can get while staying in Hvar
restaurants and main street literally 30 second walk away
the staff were really nice, helpful and kind.
i would recommend this stay to everyone :)
Lovely hotel, great food, stunning location, staff were excellent. Room was on the smaller side but you get plenty of storage so it’s not a problem at all. Lovely stroll into Hvar!
Modern hotel, gorgeous pool area with pool bar, walking distance to the main area of restaurants and bars. No lift which might make it difficult for some. Would recommend!
confortable hotel, good rooms, clean, spacious. Very very agreable hosts and helpful with indications. Great place to stay outside the old town of hvar
