Zwolle is a lovely vibrant friendly town, full of great bars, restaurants and shops and undoubtedly one of the best ice cream parlours I have ever visited. There are so many great spots, so much to do and it's so chilled.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city. Excellent museum of modern art, de Fundatie. Beautiful bookstore inside an old church. The best cake and chocolates in the Netherlands at Bakkerij Lindeboom. Try my three favourites: Dark chocolate filled with 5-spice, dark chocolate with cardamom filling, and the milk chocolate filled with caramel and sea salt. Try the others too. Many are prize winning chocolates.

I was raining so we could not appreciate very much, but I am sure that the hystorical part of the city, for what I could have seen, is very interesting and charming. Very nice town with a lot of nice places where to stop for a drink of a coffee and good for shopping. The center is almost all pedestrian and it's perfect for a nice walk in this historical town from Overijssel.

I use Zwolle as a stopping point and each year on my way to Assen, I explore a little bit more through the narrow streets within the island. There are some fabulous places to eat and chill, its a lovely place.

Even though it was in the city centre we didn't experience a lot of noise which was great. We were there on a Wednesday in July which is a popular day/night as it is Zwolle's Blauw Vinger Dag. We didn't know about that but it was fun; lots of market stalls, bands singing and performing etc. The weather was fab too. I would recommend.AndyUnited Kingdom

Norbert was so kind and accommodating and drove us to and from the station, to the library to print tickets and to our son’s apartment. He even invited us to sing and dance around a fire with his friends for Christmas. It was unfortunate that Zwolle was experiencing record flooding while we were there but Norbert assured us we were safe and helped get our luggage over the floodwater.AAnonymousUnited States

We loved the automated check-in and digital keys but we suspect they do this so there is no one to complain to/assist. Blackout curtains were effective to block lights from the nearby bars but not noise. This hotel had specific non smoking rules that we were grateful for. Really comfy beds with mattress toppers.
