The hotel is obviously steeped in the history of its past, with numerous halls which are used as conference rooms or various dining rooms . The hotel is more of a business hotel than a holiday hotel which suited us fine but might not be for everyone . I wouldn't recommend the hotel for families with children ....I can't recall seeing anyone under 35 at all. The hotel has been carefully and tastefully adapted from its former life and a lot of the monastery feel still remains . The location is really good and the car parking is an absolute must...you will not park much cheaper anywhere...be warned. The staff were as you would expect for a business Hotel...professional without being over friendly .

Absolutely everything our time spent in this hotel was so special. If we were to pick one thing out it would be the quality of the food which was excellent. Congratulations to the chef an absolute magician

A small town with plenty of history, particularly of the Sherry trade (Osborne in particular).
Small enough to walk around comfortably, though there seemed to be no shortage of taxis.
Uncrowded (late April).
Many good restaurants and bars.
Very convenient for travel to Cadiz and Jerez.

This was a great clean hotel, with a really comfortable and spacious room. The minibar was a nice addition, and not excessively priced, though admittedly very limited options. Although the room had great soundproofing from the street, there was quite a lot of noise coming from nearby rooms and downstairs in the reception.

We came to the town from Cadiz. There is no comparison.
We came to the town from Cadiz. There is no comparison. The town is busy but not trendy as claimed in all the media. You can find a good restaurant or two if you do the legwork.
The harbour is not on the sea but on the river. We didn't think it worthwhile to try the beach.
We will can't see what all the fuss is about and will stick to Cadiz in future

This apartment is in the center of Puerto with the hustle and bustle of southern Spain just outside. Open the persianas and patio doors and enjoy the sounds of the city while enjoying a glass of wine on the second floor patio. Restaurants and shops as well as the river and ferry to Cadiz are all within walking distance. The apartment is spacious and could easily accommodate a large family.
The hotel is very centrally located and going to the old town etc. is very easy. From the outside it's very well maintained and the garage for parking is convenient as there's no searching for parking (parable option). There's also a public parking available nearby which is a bit cheaper than the hotel itself.
The staff is very friendly and the rooms are well cleaned.
A lovely traditional courtyard style hotel hidden off a dusty cobbled street. Don’t be put off by the front exterior. It is not a flashy hotel but a hidden gem with excellent staff and a very good kitchen. Excellent breakfasts but try and have at least one evening meal here as the food was top notch. Very enjoyable.
The rooms were small, clean and simple but very comfortable and conveniently located. There was no parking on site but plenty nearby at reasonable rates. Staff was friendly but they didn't speak English. Great value for money, especially during Holy Week in Spain.
it's at 25-30 min from Cadiz by car
This is a family run hotel where everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We liked the room as the beds were super comfortable and the bathroom/shower great. Location within easy walking distace of bars and restaurants.
The location of the hotel was very convenient to all my places of interest. Was happy with the availability and ease to communicating with the hotel staff. Would recommend to anyone requiring a quiet, convenient and reasonably priced hotel.
What a beautiful hotel! We loved the art, the amazing breakfast, the design of our room and the comfy beds. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back.
I like the location of the hotel is real quite and safe, rooms and bathroom are very big with a nice balcony. Very good housekeeping . Front desk very helpful, overall a nice stay.I love the decoration and cleaning.
An old Andalusian house, it's so particular. Very nice staff, great breakfast, our room was a small apartment with everything. Free parking in front of the hotel. Very cheap. It should deserve more stars!
Excellent attention. Very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful hotel. Very special and romantic.
Very good location close to nice restaurants
Very quiet location where you wake up listening to birds
The room was comfortable and clean. Even though there is a busy square next to the hotel, we did not hear a sound a night because the rooms are soundproofed. The staff was also very nice.
The decoration of the space it’s magnificent. The food is very good and the staff it’s very friendly.
We love the space and de hotel. Everything was very careful and arranged.
The staff make this hotel exceptional. Sara went above and beyond to make my stay as smooth and comfortable as could be. Whatever you pay her is not enough. Thank you guys.
I loved the location (in front of the beach); big swimming pool; the room is good (all of them with balcony/ good view); the breakfast is varied; parking lot at the hotel.
Excellent location. Hotel very clean. Room was large and the beds very comfortable. The view was great. Staff very helpful. Food excellent. Definitely going again.
