What not to like, can't fault this resort, Amazing staff, can't help you enough.
Amazing facilities, lots of activities daily or you can book some also.
Amazing accommodation. Houses are unreal, I could live in one and be happy, god send when it rains having a living room to chillax, don't get me started on the beds, pillows are like marshmallows.
Breakfast is superb, best I've ever had and huge choice, all quality food and drinks.
Food is exceptional in all resort restaurants, sunset at the beach restaurant is perfect.
Beautiful beaches, on all sides and close to other islands if you want to explore.
Monkeys, big lizards, snorkeling, I loved this place. (Maya bay only 45mins away)
Plenty places to eat outside the resort along the beach if you want to explore.
It may be 2/3x the price of the other hotels, but when you stay here you will soon forget that and realise why.

The resort property is beautiful, and the garden is really well maintained with beautiful plants and flowers. The property is long, and it ends at Railay Beach. The villas are at the front towards the beach and the rooms at the back. It takes 3 min to walk to the beach in a beautiful path. You can easily access Railay East and Pranang Beach, it tales approximately 15 min walking.
The pool is very nice! They have one close to the beach and a new one at the back.
Staff is helpful and caring. They kindly moved me to a second floor upon my request. The second floor is more private and has a nice view.
Breakfast is good.
There are a few hotels by Railay Beach, so this is a great location. It is also very close to the Center of Railay, a street with shops and restaurants.

Gorgeous location, absolutely stunning natural cliffs, rocky island outcroppings, warm aquamarine water. An old style beach town that is rare to find these days. Great diversity of restaurants, (the Indian food place was one of the best anywhere) cafes (mango sticky rice!), and local shops along 'walking street', fabulous to just lay on the beach, but hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving schools/rental equipment/excursions, are available for the more adventurous.
A little difficult to get to (long tail or speedboat only) - which keeps it remote, peaceful and relaxed - no ridiculous night life, family friendly, local, easy going, picturesque peninsula on the Andaman Sea.
We booked a group boat tour around PhiPhi islands - boat was delayed, then broke down in the middle of the Sea, luckily a passing boat provided a 'spare' propellor!!! PhiPhi island visit was just a lunch stop, and basically a huge cafeteria line with spaghetti and fried chicken, ugh. Snorkeling, boat diving, cave hiking, discovering empty beach coves along the way though, were all incredible. Visiting "The Beach" lagoon was picturesque, but incredibly overcrowded - no wonder they don't allow swimming in the lagoon. Toilet facilities on PhiPhi and The Beach were best left unvisited, unless absolutely necessary. The tour was 8/10, but the adventure of it all was 11/10.
Railay is well worth a 3-4 day stay, some of our neighbors were staying 2weeks and longer over the new year's holiday. It's an absolutely beautiful, relatively undeveloped resort area, with great food, spectacular beach life, stunning views, and friendly and welcoming local people

This is not for anyone travelling with a disability.
This is not for anyone travelling with a disability. Depending on the tide , will depend on where you are dropped off. The long tail drivers did not help at all getting off the boat or with luggage.Had we been at the other Quay life would have been easy. There was no one there to greet us and our hotel was on the other side of the island a long way to drag luggage..
This is a young person's resort the smell of weed is all over the island. The THAI people don't have the same attitude as elsewhere as they have a monopoly.

The longer you stay, the more you discover.
The longer you stay, the more you discover. Railay has a few hidden gems that are worth exploring. We discovered a few favourite spots for dinner, both in the walking street as well as in Railay East. The sunset on Railey West or the Phra Nang beach are breathtaking. We recommend hiking up to the viewpoint, and if you are brave climb down to the lagoon. We also enjoyed renting a kayak during the day, and do a night tour to see the bio-luminescent plankton. Worth noting: If you book a tour on Railay East, it is often quite a bit cheaper, and priced for backpackers who stay on this side of Railay. The tours themselves are typically of the same quality. The most buzz happens in the walking street between East and West Railay and on the West beach.

The property was gorgeous and quiet.
The property was gorgeous and quiet. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was exceptional. The pool was great too. The only downside was the beach itself - rough sand, not as beautiful as the other side of the island. So the hotel itseld was absolutely wonderful but the beach was not.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!
One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!
We stayed for four nights and four days. I think without excursions, any longer would be too long but it truly is a getaway.
One day we did the lagoon viewpoint hike and for avid nature fans and hikers, I would recommend this! It's a steep incline/scramble to get there, but the route provides you with ropes to pull yourself up. The viewpoint is stunning and when we hiked up this, wild monkeys climbed around us which was just an amazing experience.
We did an island tour excursion where we visited the local island beaches during the evening and watched the sunset from one of the islands! This tour was one of the better ones we did whilst in Thailand. We explored each island on a longtail boat, which I would recommend, and we went snorkelling to see the beautiful aquatic life that surrounded the islands. We even snorkelled at night to see the luminescent plankton!
There's an amazing bar/restaurant on the island called the treetop bar. The bar has the coolest atmosphere. Shoes off, beanbags, and live music! Very chilled atmosphere with a local singer who was great.
I would visit here again in a heartbeat. A travellers paradise - would recommend.
We really enjoyed our time at this hotel, the grounds were beautiful and our room was clean and comfortable. The pool had a great view even at night. The buffet breakfast was included with our room and tasted great with a variety of western food and some Thai dishes as well.
We are in our 20s so the walk to the hotel from Railay West was not bad at all, however it could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. The hotel itself is also hilly but this wasn't a problem for us and the staff were as accommodating as possible.
The property was beautiful and well maintained, the rooms were very unique and we had an amazing view out over the bay. The pool was gorgeous overlooking the bay as well. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is family friendly which is nice to see with a luxury resort! When you see pictures and videos of Thailand resorts, this is usually the type of resort you're seeing! There are monkey families all around, lizards and birds. The restaurant is overlooking the ocean. Its really beautiful!
Amazing swim up room. Love this so much! Every morning drank coffee on the day bed on deck, and then would slip into pool. Perfect.
Bar makes great drinks. Prices good, happy hour prices 110B per cocktail.
Filtered water dispenser in hallway, with hot and cold water. They provide insulated tumblers in each room.
Location on East side is quiet at night, and less price that west side.
You can rent a yoga mat, with a deposit only, then deposit given back when you turn in the mat.
We absolutely loved the location, the beach is stunning! You can enjoy pretty impresive sunsets here
Hotel is great, we stayed in bungalows with private spa - although we never used the spa. The bungalows are spacious, beds were comfortable. Staff is nice.
The location might be little tricky if you want to be exploring Krabi as you can access Railay beach on long tail boat only. We stayed here only for 3 days before moving on so we didnt mind.
Railay Hilltop is more akin to a lodge than anything else. I wouldn’t call it a resort. That said, it functions well if you consider it a lodge rather than a hotel room (this is what you get for going for the cheapest accommodation on the beach). I recommend keeping your aircon on even when leaving the property — this wards off mosquitoes and other annoying critters. Beds are ok and toilets function well. You get the essentials I say.
There are a lot of hotels to choose in Railay Beach, and the reviews are quite varied. The hotel is quiet and the grounds are lush and well tended. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection. The staff were friendly, and arranged a pick up from Krabi Airport, which took all the hassle out of the transfer. The room was a good size, clean and had nice views.
Superb jungle location at far end of Railay East beach (15 minute walk to Railay West and Phang Nga). Lovely bamboo cottages on hillside. Very comfortable room and bathroom. Incredible infinity pool with great view and lots of excellent sun loungers. Very good breakfast and restaurant. Very helpful staff. Free transfer boat from Krabi pier (check times).
The property is far from the noisy Railay beach (East or West), but still walkable distance (even with kids). It is a real break from the crowd.
Our room had a sea view and nice furniture. Very appreciable.
Staff was nice. Thank you John at pool bar he has been very nice to us, and our kids !
It's an amazing eco resort in a great location and stunning views. Within a short walking distance (15 min) to Railay Beach as well as Phra Nang beach. Breakfast at the hotel is very good and the view from the cantine is simply awesome. There are many restaurants and bars around.
It’s more than a hotel,it’s a natural sanctuary! Zero traffic,zero plastic,zero toxins,wooden room keys.The most beautiful scenery,greatest sea view pool,3 beaches,great food,The Grotto restaurant,free jag of cold water at the beach,very impressive Spa center,etc.
Super laid back, lower range in type of hotel / standards but fantastic place to stay in more quiet area of Railey beach. Food is home made and fantastic and the place is a super quiet, laid back, peaceful and very enjoyable place.
Perfect hotel. Clean, ok breakfast as well restaurant if eat here. AC very goog.
Big + is room acsses to the pool.
Ideal location.
5 min from west, and 2 min to boat pier at East.
Recomended!
The bungalows were roomy and comfortable! Location was very convenient between East and West Railay Beaches as well as Phra Nang Beach.
Very clean resort. Scenery was spectacular!!!
It was beautiful! The pools, beach, rooms, etc. were great! Breakfast was great, the beach and pool area felt pretty private to the hotel, and it was close to the restaurants!
Beautiful resort, kind helpful staff, beautiful rooms and balcony, gorgeous pool and great breakfast. Lots of monkeys around probably my favorite hotel in Thailand.
