Going through the Taksin shipyard and reviewing things there. Has character and some past history I am sure. We ate at the resort because they order whatever you want and their family brings it in for you at anytime. Breakfast was exceptional, a mix of european and thai and fitted our family. Easy to get around; however, would try and find an easier route to get to the Meena, we did not have GPS, so we ended up inside of the town and had a long drive to the resort.

We went to the National Park, which was close, to see the waterfall. Ha ha ha ha, climbed up many steps and there it was, a little trickle of water falling down a hill....ha ha ha ha. Would not recommend this tourist attraction. Of course, I have been to real waterfalls, and so maybe that has something to do with my remarks.

This hotel/ "resort" is located about 1/2 km down a Soi from the main road. The rooms are more like stand-alone apartments or houses, with a lot of gravel parking. I booked the cheapest room, and the room was large and clean for the price. The check-in and check-out was very smooth and fast. Terrace is very cosy with river view, perfect for a beer before bed time. Located right in the city center, it was perfect for a one day stay. If I get through Chanthaburi again, I'll stay there for sure!
