We were entertaining grandkids so looked for activities that they would enjoy. The Arizona Boardwalk was an excellent choice. There were a lot of activities if a little expensive. The Organ Stop in Mesa was a major hit with our kids. A bicycle ride along a desert trail yielded some spotted wildlife. The kids enjoyed seeing a roadrunner and a rattle snake especially. Traffic is horrible but I was expecting worse. The water park was also a big hit. It is connected to the Hilton resort.

Phoenix is a great city. Restaurants are wonderful.
Phoenix is a great city. Restaurants are wonderful. Lots to do in the museum district with its parks, exhibitions, and friendly people. It's better staying downtown. Definitely avoid the airport area as this is not safe. Grand Canyon is wonderful but a +4 hour drive.

Downtown has been under road construction for years.
Downtown has been under road construction for years. Parking and navigation are a nightmare. There is a homeless problem. I was approached by aggressive panhandlers continually. Uncared for mentally ill people wander this area in large numbers. Parking and hotel rates are now unaffordable. Surrounding areas such as Flagstaff and Anthem are much more comfortable and safe.

We went for a baseball tournament in Tucson, but flights were cheaper to Phoenix. Airport was really busy and a little confusing. The airtram destinations to get to the rental car place were not clearly marked to pick up the rental car, but returning rental car was very easy. We enjoyed some sightseeing at the Hole in the Rock park. Very nice with awesome views! Easy "hike" - about 5-10 minutes to the top with steps. Only 10 minutes from the airport. If in town only for a little bit, it was a quick and easy, but well worth it, sight-seeing trip.

Thanks
I hope you can take care of this
The room was very big, clean and comfortable (sofa included), with everything you need, big TV with lots of channels and even a fridge where to keep your food/drinks cold. Location is perfect right in the heart of Phoenix downtown. The fitness center is limited but clean and with modern equipment which is enough to satisfy your working out needs. Staff was friendly, helpful and there is self parking option although the parking is located in a different building close to the hotel. Definitely would repeat if I ever come again to Phoenix.
a very comfortable room and the staff was awesome as well. very safe feeling location. close to a lot of venues and bars. was walking distance to Chase Field
Not a complaint but an observation: Phoenix temp that day was 120 F, the room I was in, got down to about 74 F at its lowest. I understand the temp issue so i cant complain, but I do love a cold room usually keep it at 69-70 F.
But other than that it was an awesome hotel and I definitely recommend a stay
Immaculate and walking distance to downtown, we enjoyed a comfortable stay in this very nicely updated chateau in the midst of Phoenix. The host Josh and Mirlene were very helpful and responsive to our needs. This is a great value and location for what we needed. Love the touch of the fireplace in the living room. I felt taken care of in this very thoughtful space.
A fantastic hotel. The suite we had was excellent, the largest hotel room we have ever stayed in. Perfect for a multi-night stay. We stayed 3 nights and it was so comfortable having a separate "living" room with it's own TV, sofa, etc. Very clean and quiet. Very friendly staff (ie. Alexa, our check-in host). We really enjoyed our stay.
We didn't expect to end up staying in Phoenix at all, after some problems with the car hire company we had to overnight it. However the staff in the hotel was just lovely, so welcoming and pleasant to deal with. They made a nightmare of a day that bit better.
The room were huge, very comfortable and clean. Would completely recommend it.
The location was great, able to walk to our event downtown. We did not do the breakfast. The hotel staff was nice and accommodated our need for a quiet room. It was waaaaayyyy overpriced. $400+ for 1 night is ridiculous. It was not worth that price. I would expect luxury for $400. It was fine and adequate.
Room was bigger than average. Nicely laid out with lots of room for luggage. Bathroom was large as well. Lots of room for two people. Close to the airport which is what we needed. Breakfast was good. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. AC was quiet. Not always the case in other hotels.
Stayed here to be close to airport during travel. Free shuttle to airport. They suggested we return our rental the night before and hotel shuttle would pick us up to avoid rental drop off on day if our flight. Best decision ever! Phoenix rental return is difficult.
Everyone was super nice
Nothing, room was loud from above (steps in shoes goes through the ceiling all the time) and from outside, there were cars playing loud music, and staff didnt do anything to mitigate the problem. Not even offering new room elsewhere... Just a poor rating hotel.
The room is big and comfortable. The hotel is pretty, you kind of feel that you are inside of a resort. The distance to the airport really makes it worth it if you are only staying one day. If you want to explore Phoenix I would suggest other neighborhoods.
stayed at red roof in over a year ago and the man(the hotel manager i believe) at desk when i checked in remembered me.that was very nice and it's nice to go to a place and be remembered.next time i go to phoenix i will stay at red roof again.great price.
The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. They even allowed me to stay in the common areas after my checkout since my flight was at night. The location is fair, I would say a $ 25-35 uber to Phoenix downtown. All the rooms had locks, so that felt safe.
We need to stay an extra day during our business trip in Phoenix. We would definitely stay at this hotel during future business trips. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good, and the food at the restaurant was very good.
Really quirky hotel. Decor was fab, lovely little touches made it very boho. Staff were lovely as well, very responsive and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable as well - so you got style and substance!
Very good location in Central Phoenix. A new and modern hotel with clean and stylish rooms. Spacious and comfortable. Good sized bathroom. Nice lobby and restaurant space. This was a good hotel stay.
You will get a good quality-price relationship. Breakfasts I received did their job. The bedroom is wide, comfortable, and with excellent amenities. I recommend this hotel to stay in Phoenix, AZ.
I didn't like anything at all about this hotel...worst stay in my life and of coarse they found some way to steal my deposit even though I thoroughly made sure nothing was wrong with he room.
location was great, not far from Phoenix airport and free hotel shuttle. Rooms were clean but WELL WORN. Beds were okay but only standard size in a room request of two queens.
Excellent place in downtown Phoenix and very close to the VA Clinic. I stay about 2 nights in this hotel and enjoyed my stay. Staff were also excellent as well.
