Banana Dog Cafe (a food truck run by the owners daughter on premises) makes the BEST coffee. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. A short (4 mile or so) drive into town for more shops & restaurants.

Hamilton Cay Reserve at Bermuda Bay by KEES Vacations offers air-conditioned accommodation in Kill Devil Hills. The place was extremely clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You also couldn't ask for a better location being right on the water for the sound and right next to the Wright Brother's monument. Also having a pool, lazy river, and splash pad for the kids was a major plus.
