It was quiet throughout the hotel with great care paid to soundproofing rooms giving such peace and quiet. Great attention paid to detail, no expense spared in quality of furnishings and design. Indeed an oasis of beauty, rarely surpassed. Matched one should add, to the appearance and dedication of the staff, all of whom were eager to address any requirement.

Aside from the tranquility, the wonderful beds, and the amazing breakfast in the garden, the warmth of the hosts Sophie and Dominique deserves special mention. It was so much fun chatting with them. They are very accommodating, helpful with reservations, and you can trust every one of their tips blindly. I don't think we've ever felt as welcome in an "accommodation" as we did here! We were even able to speak a little German with Sophie (GENAU!), and she's also fluent in English. What can I say: if it weren't so far away, I'd be back next weekend.! Above all, we would thoroughly recommend the host, Maxime Divet. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our booking presented him with numerous problems, which he handled throughout with the utmost professionalism, understanding and kindness. Nothing was too much trouble for him. His communication and advice were both wonderful. He is an excellent host, who went above and beyond our expectations.

An elegant, historically-rich venue with welcoming, knowledgeable staff, that I would visit again very happily. We were a few weeks early for the pool but our children happily played Monopoly in the games study, whilst we finished off a delicious breakfast that felt like the closest thing we ate on holiday, to home-cooked food.
