Featuring a fitness centre, bar and views of river, Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport is set in Tokyo and connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3. For an airport hotel this is pretty special. The onsen on roof is great. You can also go there from the cheaper Villa Fontaine (non-Premier) next door but I believe there is some kind of charge. The location is super because it's attached to a part of the aiport with lots of restaurants so plenty of options for supper if you don't fancy going far.

Composed of 2 buildings, The Okura Tokyo boasts a garden and bar. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and room service, along with free WiFi. Impeccable service. Had a mishap with my parking that was my mistake due to the language barrier. The staff especially Onose san and Yoshihara san went out of their way to help me. Will be staying here again and again.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Onsens options are great, stuff are very friendly and helpful. Food is amazing

Re-opened in 2012 after thorough renovations, the Tokyo Station Hotel is registered as an Important Cultural Property and boasts gorgeous rooms in a classical European style. We arrived very early, before 8 AM, and they kindly prepared a room for us by 10 AM, even though check-in was at 3 PM.
