This place is a little gem hidden in the Atlas mountains. The village is the ideal place for relaxing, far from the chaos of cars and cities. We suggest travelers to spend here at least two nights, and take advantage of excursions and trekkings that can be arranged by the hotel (special thanks to Hassan who guided us through the mountains, inside a cave and cooked us a delicious barbeque in the wilds). The host Laarbi was very nice and welcoming, and he also helped us in organising the rest of our Moroccan trip.

This trip taught me that the desert is not an empty void, but a world full of life. We visited a small village, enjoyed a quad bike tour, then returned to watch the sunset from the top of a dune. The campsite was wonderfully equipped. At night, we enjoyed music under a star-filled sky. It was both a spiritual and aesthetic experience.

Royal Sahara Dome Camp se nachází v destinaci Merzouga a poskytuje zahradu, terasu, bar a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. We were well looked after by Hassan, his brothers, and the staffs. Very good location, the camp is new, private, and perfect for sunrise and star photos. Our room is beautifully decorated and spacious. Breakfast and dinner are generous and tasty. Excellent Berber music performance and campfire at night. We joined the camel rides and quad biking with them, the arrangement was good too. Highly recommended! Big thanks to Hassan’s team again!

We stayed at Hôte Sahara & Spa Tadighoust on our way from Fez to Merzouga, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The setting is just beautiful—a real oasis with palm trees, and such a peaceful, genuine atmosphere. Pierre and Amina were the perfect hosts. They were super friendly and welcoming, and it was clear they genuinely enjoy what they do. Amina’s dinner was excellent—a nice change from the usual Moroccan meals, and we especially loved the pasta that Pierre made for lunch on our departure day. It was simple but absolutely delicious! The house is really interesting, blending traditional elements with Amina’s personal touch—her paintings bring the whole place to life, adding color and character to every corner. On top of everything, Amina gave my wife a really nice massage treatment, which was the perfect way to unwind before continuing our travels. The best part? Seeing Pierre and Amina laughing together—their energy made the whole experience feel even more special. We’re already planning to meet up with them in Italy this winter for a snowmobile ride!

Everything!! The tents are huge, fully furnished and the bed is very comfortable! the restaurant is big and nice and in the middle of the camp there's a fire lit at night and around it there are carpets and cushions to seat and enjoy the atmosphere... while drinking tea! There's also a swing... very relaxing! Just behind the camp are the dunes where the sun rises so early in the morning before breakfast is nice to go up the dune and enjoy the breathtaking view. Abdo the owner, promised me we would have an amazing stay and so it was! He helps you to organise everything, visits, excursions, activities... always available and with a smile! I hope I can go back one day but for a longer stay!

Interesting stay at Your Magic Camp we had such a warm hospitality at the camp from the friendly guys Hassan and ismail! Who were working at the camp! They serve us tea and dinner and it was so good! We danced and singed with the Berber music all night! We would book this camp again and we will never forget this beautiful place!

This tent camp just meters from the Sahara sand dunes is wonderful - much like a calm oasis after visiting the large cities of Morocco. I wish I had booked it for a longer stay.

When I looked at the satellite map of the Merzouga desert, I was shocked to see that so many camps were very close to each other on the eastern side of Erg Chebbi-one of Morocco’s largest seas of sand dunes. But there was an area to the south of the erg where there were less than 10 camps, all spread out in a large area. Itran was one of those camps. Another important factor to note was that Itran was surrounded by impressive sand dunes, high enough for us to go sandboarding on. Other camps are located far from the dunes, so the guests would have to be transported by camels or 4x4 vehicles to the dunes. At Itran, the sand dunes were a few steps from our tent; we just walked out and the magnificent sunrises and sunsets were right there. THE TENTS. All tents in so-called “luxury camps” have a toilet and shower area, so that was not an issue. But what I really wanted was a tent with windows—large windows! Almost all of the camps have tents with only a door, and possibly a small window, but only a handful have panoramic windows. Imagine the last thing you see before you fall asleep are the stars in the sky!
