Learned, that the building has a lot of interesting history. Impeccably clean place. Spacious room and bathroom. Tasty, high quality and varied breakfast. Located in a (quiet, high quality) pedestrian zone, but accessible by car to drop off bags. Just a very short walk to the lakeside promenade, with lots of restaurants, and the boat landing. We had a great couple of days there and loved the area.

Smart-HOTEL MINUSIO, a Swiss Quality Hotel stojí uprostřed zahrady s vyhřívaným venkovním bazénem, 2 minuty jízdy od centra Locarna a jezera Maggiore. Good facilities and practical location. The area was calm and quiet and moving around with the Ticino ticket was very easy and convenient (bus stop right around the corner). Good base for exploring Ticino, we did a lot of different trips during our stay (easy start by hopping on a bus right in from of the hotel). Short walk down to the waterfront with some restaurants, couple of supermarkets within a couple of minutes by foot. Starting the morning with a breakfast in the garden was a nice way to start the day (excellent breakfast buffet with plenty of choice, fresh fruit and local flavours). Friendly and helpful staff. During our stay, the hotel was fully booked but never felt busy or crowded, the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed.

The hotel is close to downtown. The bus stops right in front of the hotel. They also have a privat parking direct at the hotel. The hotel is super clean. The personal is outstanding, very friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. We would always go back as soon as we are in this region of Switzerland.
