Busy central area. Was quite easy to find our way around.
Busy central area. Was quite easy to find our way around. Had to park our car a mile away from our hotel as first green, free parking, area around us. Not great to then have to carry bags back to the hotel.
Too cold and windy to go on the beach, but I think it would be lovely to go there when the weather is sunny. We were only there for 24 hours but would like to return to see more of the area.

Ostend is fine for a couple of nights.
Ostend is fine for a couple of nights. Some good bar/restaurants where we had excellent steak. Good selection of great Belgian beers too. Ostend is only a half hour from Bruges (even quicker by train), so can be used a a base to explore Flanders. It's also only an hour or so from Calais (and on a good road) so easy to get to.

Ostend was very attractive.
Ostend was very attractive. There are lots of big green parks to wander through, and a huge sandy beach with a big promenade. There are lots of bars and cafes, and also some attractive old parts of town where Paris-style balconied apartments can be viewed. There are buses and trams in town, and the train takes only 11 minutes to get to Bruges for day trips.

I visited ManiFiesta, an annual festival of solidarity at the Wellington horse track. It takes place in early September and it's a wonderful opportunity to see live music and dance, but also for debates, films and to meet like-minded people from all over Europe. I met trade unionists from all across the world, amazing. So nice that you can visit the festival and also enjoy the beach and the city of Ostend.

Perfect location, one block to Marie Joseplein train station and 2 stops from the Oostende train station. Grocery store and Laundromat is within one block. Restaurants and bars all around you. Beach is only 150 meters away. Super smooth check in and great lift. Owner is very responsive. Living area had nice space and bathroom was great. Great WiFi!
Superb view albeit over the hinterland rather than Oostende itself but spectacular nonetheless .
Everything was on hand kitchen wise…. big fridge….. ample supplies of everything which makes a huge difference….. check in and out fairly simple…..all in all a good choice ….. icing on the cake was having a sizeable Delhaize right next door…… and we recommend Marmite, the restaurant just across from the apartment building…… warning….. book a table!!!!
The hostess does her utmost to make your stay memorable. We booked a room of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) with breakfast. The room was excellent: clean, large, very nice bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of options: pain au chocolat, pistolets, toast, cereal and a wide variety of spreads, like homemade jam, charcuterie and fruits!! We'd definitely stay there again if we were to go back to Ostend.
The receptionist/Manager was amazing and really looked after us. She was reassuring and went out of her way to show us around. She definitely deserves a pay rise. Because of her we will definitely be back even to say hello next time in Oostende. The room was nice and the bed was really comfortable. Even though it was a short trip it was memorable and we do miss Oostende and we will be back again soon.
The appartment is very beautiful, perfectly clean, new, convinient and made with love! There is everything one can need. The host is very friendly and attentive. We had only a pleasure there. Check in and check out were smooth and flexible. The location is just great, so close to the beautiful beach.
We want to say many thanks to Carine, Bart and Jarne for the splendid time we had in Oostende.
Our room was amazing and the mattresses were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel. The bathroom was also nice and big. The hotel itself was awesome with lots of things to do during a rainy day. The breakfasts were out of this world and the staff really so friendly. We always stay at Upstairs when we come to Oostende!
I very much enjoyed staying at Hotel Bero and hope to do so again.
The staff was very nice and helpful with advice and directions. The rooms are of good size and very tastefully decorated. Great modern shower!
I enjoyed the good size pool and the various saunas.
The breakfast was excellent.
The room had a classy look to it, while the price was fair and affordable. This in combination with the perfect location (close to the beach and close to the shopping streets). The shower was clean and modern. If I return to Ostend, then I already know where I’m going to book my stay. :)
The location to explore Ostend and burgge. Rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Pillows were amazing. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Decorated beautifully for Christmas
The staff was very friendly. The underground parking was indeed not far away, which was very practical. The beach was literally a 3min walk away from the hotel. Recommend to stay here when you are in Oostende.
The hotel is good and the staff very friendly, the location is very good, since it´s in the middle of the city and very close to the beach, a lot of good restaurants nearby.
