From arrival, staff were extremely attentive, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities were exceptional especially the spa and pool. A great way to unwind and relax in luxury. Highly recommend!

Liked looking around the Cathedral.
Quite a lit of ordinary eateries but we liked Manchega.
If you like real ale go to the One Eyed Rat but it doesn't serve meals.
A number of shops and businesses have closed down and it's much like many towns these days.
It's a fantastic base for visiting Newby Hall, Fountains Abbey, RHS Harlow Carr and Thorp Perrow arboretum.

Ripon is a small city - very small, but it has some charming cobbled streets to explore and, of course, a beautiful cathedral which is well worth a visit. We were lucky enough to hear the choir practising when we stopped in. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in Ripon. On our recent mini-break, we ate at Claro Lounge, Mario's, Oliver's Pantry and The Royal Oak - all located in or near the Market Square - and would be happy to recommend all of them.

Lovely little city with lots if interesting places nearby to, good bus services if you don't want to use your car. A delight to see how proactive the residents are to decorate their city up for the forthcoming d day anniversary, it is a real credit go them. The nightly horn blowing ceremony is very interesting as well

The workhouse, victorian prison and the courthouse were fascinating. Also a beautiful Cathedral, lovely river walks parks. Excellent bus service to Harrogate and surrounding areas, all for £2.00 or bus pass. Nice places to eat and a very pretty little city. Would recommend as once there you don't need a car unless you want to explore further.

Ripon Cathedral was holding a Spring Fayre fundraiser - lots of stalls and a choir festival! There is a Museum walking Trail
There are independent places to eat and one of the larger chains in the market square which suited us!
Unfortunately the Spa Swimming Baths is closed - would've loved to see inside!

Very quaint, olde English city. plenty of history to immerse into ie Cathedral, workhouse, courtrooms etc.
Lots of different place to eat.
Quite busy with traffic thru though. but has a pleasant pedestrianised area with lots of local artisan shops etc. Definitely worth a visit.
House was spotlessly clean, everywhere smelt fresh. Kitchen was well equipped nothing missing and if cooking there were spices, salt etc. washing up liquid and cleaning products also available. Big cooker. Living area was comfortable, TV was decent, netflix available. Bedroom comfortable and quiet at night as home in residential area. Bathroom fine, towels good and plenty of hot water. Easy walk into Ripon and the cathedral.
Situated in a the lovely village of Sawley , next to the village green and opposite the pub. Very comfortable cottage with all the mod cons ! Dog friendly .Down the road from an ice cream shop and easy drive to Brimham rocks, Fountains Abbey, Masham and Ripon. Owner was easy to contact with questions relating to new heating system.
It was off the main road into Ripon, so not one that you could walk. It said on the website, '2 minutes' from Ripon and it was, but by car. I had misread it and thought we were staying in Ripon and could walk around the town.
The food was delicious and Seamus tried hard to be helpful and was very friendly and informative.
The hotel is in a great location in Ripon the room was clean and view very good , the facilities were good with a good shaving mirror iron and iron and ironing table but the bed was very uncomfortable.
A good tray with tea coffee biscuits .
Overall it was reasonable but not good for £119 which I paid
The staff are friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is located right in the heart of town. - Only a few minutes walk to the cathedral and you get the bonus of witnessing the ‘horn-blowing’ ceremony (observed since 1604) right in front of the hotel.
There are also lots good restaurants in the area.
Amy was so helpful, welcoming, warm and lovely. Everything a host should be.
It had a real homely feel to it and after 3 nights in various hotels/bnb's this was by far out favourite.
Top marks for comfort, decor, cleanliness and hosting!
Perfect location - lovely and quiet with very scenic views easy to access from Ripon. The breakfast was fantastic. Room was cozy and the bed so comfy. Neil was polite, enthusiastic, and the perfect host. Would definitely return!!
Staff were all brilliant, the room had everything you could need...and it was the best breakfast we've ever had in a hotel (and we've stayed in lots of places!) We will definitely stay here again if we're back in Ripon.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff friendly, considerate and helpful. The hotel had a genuinely happy atmosphere. Lovely surroundings and very central for walking to museums and attractions.
We were travelling to Scarborough for a break and wanted a halfway stopover to visit Ripon. This hotel was perfectly located, good value, comfortable, had great dining facilities, and was most welcoming.
A Great place to stay right in the middle of the square in ripon centre easy to find secure parking and the apartment was spotless we were even provided with some goodies which was a lovely surprise
This was a perfect location for us visiting friends in the area. It was also very handy for the local pub less than 5 minutes away. Lovely rural location with easy access to Ripon and beyond.
