We visited only for a weekend. Very nice city. Surrouned by atractions we wanted to see. We vistites nearby Giethoorn for a day. We have been too a local reaturant, that we liked. The streets in Blokzijl are quite narrow, but we had no issue with that. We very much enjoyed our stay in Blokzijl.LucynaPoland - 10Scored 10

Right next to the national park/reserve area, it was quiet and we enjoyed watching the herons (or what we would call herons in the Pacific NW of the states). I want to come back in the summer when I’m sure it’s lively with boaters and people enjoying the canals.

The location was excellent, if you have a car giethoorn is 15 minutes away. But the lake outside of the hotel is beautiful and calming . We already think about coming back to this hotel because of the location and the great food . It was clean and comfy, amazing showers. The food was excellent, the restaurant is amazing and an experience. Great service and cooking.
