Well located in the centre of Funchal, Barceló Funchal Oldtown provides air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a fitness centre. Everything is perfect about this hotel. Expensive? Yes! However, worth the extra money. Breakfast was excellent and all the stuff is amazing.

Staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast was good. The hotel is located in a very nice area with shops and restaurants and pretty close to the center.

Comparing to other accommodations the cleanliness was unique. For New Year Eve it is the best choice as the roof terrace provides 360 degree panorama for the fireworks around the city.

Hotel Madeira is a 3-star hotel in Funchal's city centre, close to shops and restaurants. It offers free WiFi access. Each room has a private bathroom with walk-in shower and hairdryer. The hotel was very accommodating to a special request that I had. It is in a great location and the staff were all very friendly. There was a good selection at breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay there. Clean rooms, nice garden, tasty breakfast and excellent swimming pool and beach. Centre of the town can be easily reached on foot.

Aquest hotel ben dissenyat amb vista sobre la badia de Funchal ofereix un allotjament de luxe al parc de Santa Caterina. Disposa d'un spa amb piscines per relaxar-se, a més d'un casino i una... Everything was great. The staff were very friendly and courteous including housekeeping. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beds very comfortable. We loved the breakfast, pools, gym, and location. It is in walking distance to the main attractions, great restaurants, and public transportation. The room rate is very good as well.
