The place is warm and cosy. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent. We specifically asked for a room with a balcony and that is what we got.

Located in Guarda, 5.6 km from Guarda Castle, Quinta do Rio Noémi provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Exceptional. We loved it we recommend to everyone who can spend a night there to do so.

Just a 5-minute drive away from the city of Gouveia, in the slopes of Serra da Estrela Mountain, Madre De Água Hotel Rural de Charme is located in a producing wine, cheese and olive oil farm. Architecture was perfect, solid buildings, design of room. The atmosphere was great. The staff was excellent, friendly, sincere, welcoming, and always willing to help. Seeing the beautiful horses galloping next to the room was truly amazing. Breakfast in the dining room was filled with fresh fruits from the farm and great tasting breads. Dinner was amazing with terrific wines from the farm both full bodied and light. Even the vegetarian options were perfect.

Casas da Lapa is a modern hotel ideally situated on a hill top, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. It is located within a typical mountain village, Lapa dos Dinheiros. Staff in particular Marcia were very friendly and super helpful. Nothing was too much for them.

Absolutely wonderful. The dinner menu at 40 Euros is a bargain... apertif, amuse boche, breads, starter, soup, main, dessert, and coffee. The food is well prepared and the portions are ample. I note the size of portions is much better than a previous stay seven years ago. Room. I stayed in the suite and love its ambience. Snacks. From 4 PM to 6 PM there is a selection of snacks... sweet and savory. They are diverse and change every day.

A magical place with the family history that is around on the walls through pictures and family tools. The house housed a museum containing antique items that have been useful for the past 200 years. The hospitality was warm and generous and the generous breakfast with the beautiful dishes was a celebration.
