Breakfast was excellent and provided gluten free options as a matter of course. Portion sizes were very generous. The rooms were a bit quirky as might be expected in a castle but very comfortable and clean. However the star point was the friendliness of the staff.

The room was bright and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, when we asked about dining out or finding a laundromat. The full English breakfast was piping hot and delicious . There was also cereal and fruit on the side and lots of hot coffee, tea or cold beverages. We sat in the breakfast room and watched the boats go by. we also enjoyed the pub right downstairs for food and drinks.
