The staff was so lovely - felt like you’re staying with your Cretan family. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The place looks super pretty - the pool area is really lux. The rooms are good sized and super clean. Really liked the vibe of the whole place - really love the fact that it’s adults only so it’s pretty chill! The breakfast was so good as well - good options and really well cooked omelettes. Definitely recommend this if you want a relaxing getaway. I do recommend a car when staying here as this makes it easier getting to other destinations nearby (or not so nearby). We visited for our anniversary so they had set up a lovely surprise in our room when we arrived. So thoughtful!

For us it was close to the tennis courts for the tournaments my daughter was playing, it was great to be able to cook our own meals and there is a supermarket across the road. It was good value for what we needed it for and very convenient. You can see the ocean from the balcony and the pool is nice. The cleaner comes in most days and will give you clean towels every second day and change the sheets. You will need your own soap and shampoo, although there is some for the first day. Andreas is very helpful and always around if you need anything. The bus stop is near and it is very cheap to get on a bus, €3.10 to go to the main city (Heraklion) and the airport it takes about 40 min to 1hr. Don’t use the taxi’s the are very expensive and they only take cash there are no meters and they tell you a price. It’s €45 for on the airport to the apartment. There are plenty of ATM’s around. You can walk 10 minutes to a beach with sand to the right and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The beach across the road isn’t great and no sand. When you fly in get the bus to Nana beach, cross the road and walk to the right and it’s just up past the supermarket,with the buses you put alll your luggage underneath the bus.

It doesn’t have much in the way of facilities but the room was clean and spacious, the staff are wonderful, and the location is just perfect (right on the main street, 3 minutes from the beach). Great breakfast, you can choose what you would like to have the day before and it’s served at the pool. With a car it’s an ideal location, not far from the city center Chersonissos. A big thank you to Debby and John (the owners of the hotel) for the tips and help with finding a rent car!

Last but not least I have to mention the food at the buffet which was really tasty . I highly recommend Mari Kristin beach hotel as an ideal place for holidays and relaxations .
