Absolutely everything was spectacular. First the views - just incredible. Staff was lovely, the facilities even more beautiful than pictured. We booked one of the tents and it was even better than I hoped with clear, gorgeous views and comfortable everything. Breakfast was generous and we loved that they offered shuttle service to the train station. We also rented bikes for a day which was a great way to get around and see things.

You could feel that the owner put some love into the place and our hostess Federica, who met us and showed us around, was delightful. very lovely hotel on the mountainside of Framura. we stayed in Vernazza the night before and it was also lovely, but hotel Meri was farther away from the big crowds of tourists and was a very relaxing location. the view was absolutely stunning from the terrace. the hotel owner is incredibly kind and helpful. he was such a phenomenal host, making sure we got to the train, sharing a glass of wine with us, and assisting with any questions or concerns we have.

Lovely location up on the hill with a great view. That said, if you have luggage you have to arrive at a time when there is a bus. It‘s lots of stairs up the hill from the train. But stunningly beautiful, passing through an old village. Another lovely village is just a little further up the hill from the hostel. There are a couple of shops and a cafe there but opening times do not necessarily coincide with your stay.
