Most are OK, some not great, but few are truly exceptional. The Sail Lofts are firmly in the exceptional category. The accommodation was excellent - comfortable and smartly furnished, the location was outstanding, the breakfast provided (in advance) was the best I've ever seen, and the stay was great value for money. Truly a (very rare) 10/10 for me, by far and away the best spot in Douglas that I've stayed - and there have been many!

Location on the waterfront was lovely, room was spacious, comfortable and clean, the breakfast was plentiful and very, very good and Yolandi and Jacques our hosts were just fantastic, couldn't have done more, will definitely stay again and are highly recommend, thank you for a great stay

Located on the Isle of Man, in Douglas’s Marina, Waterfront Apartments feature self-catering accommodation with free Wi-Fi available throughout. The property is close to the bay and just 0.7 miles away from the Isle of Man Government. All basics were fully met. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. Very comfortable beds. Nice linens, thick towels. Great location with many restarants nearby. Multiple electrical outlets in every room. Tesco 5 minute walk. Excellent wifi.

Situated 2 minutes’ walk from the beach, The Devonian features a view over the Glen Falcon and landscaped gardens. Douglas town centre and the start and finish point for the Isle of Man TT motorcycle race are just a 5-minute walk. The staff were extremely friendly, and very attentive. Breakfast was wonderful and very reasonably priced. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Douglas. Rooms were very tidy and comfortable. There was a storm the day we were meant to sail home and they were very accommodating, letting us keep the room util 6pm and not check out during the day of sailing incase our ferry was cancelled, and then letting us extend our stay for another 2 nights when our boat was cancelled. I'd highly highly recommend the Devonian!

Englewood Lodge offers luxury accommodation with spacious bathrooms, bathrobes and slippers. The modern rooms offer free mineral water and fresh fruit, and each has a TV and hairdryer. ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING Where do you begin . The house is magnificent , the decor elegant , food was sensational , price was very reasonable but the real gem here is the host . Margaret goes above and beyond in every aspect of her role as a host , the attention to detail in every aspect from breakfast on thru to the daily linen and cleanliness is second to none . When we return to the Isle we won’t stay anywhere else . In 16 years traveling over 70 countries we have never given a 10 accept now . Congratulations Margaret and THANK YOU you made our stay on the island just what it should be “ PERFECT “

The Cute Cabin is a recently renovated campground in Santon, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely cabin with everything I needed for a few days, the hosts communication was great and they were very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend and stay again when I return to the IOM.

Featuring mountain views, The Cottage, Bridge House provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 1.7 km from Laxey Beach. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 1 km from Laxey Wheel. Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at The Cottage. This is a beautifully presented quirky one bedroom cottage, perfect for the two of us. Upon arrival The Cottage was immaculate & is very well supplied with everything you need for a self catering holiday. There is instant hot water even when heating isn't on, shower has great water pressure too. There is a small private patio area off the kitchen which we didn't use during our stay but in height of summer will be a lovely place to sit. The cottage is alongside the electric railway embankment & viaduct; we believe the cottage was there long before the railway (very slight noise as the train passes, but not intrusive at all). Approx a 10 mins walk to Laxey Beach which when we were there the sun was shining & the bay was a busy & happy place. We used (for the first time) public transport into Douglas, buses were every half hour up until 10pm, then hourly (good app available to check times etc). Short walk up some slightly steep hills onto the main road where there's local shops, pubs the electric railway & where you pick up public transport. Highly recommend & would definitely look at staying here again next time we're on the island.
