Located just opposite the shores of Lake Maggiore, Park Hotel Italia offers an outdoor pool and a fully furnished garden with sun loungers. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Amazing hotel, right on the lake and the main promenade. the staff is lovely and very accommodating. The bartender Andrea is amazing and very friendly as well as his older colleague (forgot his name :(). The location is perfect with a view on the lake and private parking with electric car charging point on spot. We also used their Spa facilities which can be booked at reception for private use (the whole spa it was reserved for my boyfriend and me only). Breakfast offers high quality food and drink options and you can even make a fresh smoothie. Dinner at the hotel was beyond all expectations, everything served is super fresh and they offer a great wine selection as well. the room was spotless clean, spacious and great Wifi.

Boasting a bar and views of lake, Rivalago B&B is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Cannobio, 18 km from Piazza Grande Locarno. The B&B, Rivalago is located on the waterfront and a moderate distance from the ferry embarcadero which I only used to arrive and depart. My room was spacious and comfortable with excellent cleaning service and a fabulous view of the lake. The B&B is in a quiet location and a short walk to the restaurants along the embarcadero. I chose Cannobio because it was considerded the prettiest town on the lake although not the most convenient for seeing gardens and palazzi. Those were easily reached by regular bus service, or boat. Gaia was very helpful in determining my connections and printing schedules for me. Commuting to the gardens was a breeze! The breakfast was fresh and varied, with more selection than I would ever have at home, which was a real treat! Both Matteo and Gaia were always available to answer questions and assist with whatever I needed. Matteo even found the program I wanted on Netflix and set it to English for me. Thank you both for making my stay so special.

Located 48 km from Piazza Grande Locarno, Lago Maggiore Bay offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a private beach area and pool with a view. Great location by the lake! Villa Vittoria offers accommodation in Stresa. The property has lake and garden views. All rooms have a balcony with mountain views. The view was breathtaking. Everything is so close. I just wish we stayed there more. I was ready to cancel my plans but it was already booked. The host is the most gorgeous couple and we will definitely be back! 11 out of 10!

Al San Michele features rooms in Stresa. This guest house offers luggage storage space and free WiFi. Breakfast was great, staff friendly, and location fantastic, in the heart of Stresa. Close to the lake, ferry, and downtown. Very walkable location. Only a half of a block to everything.

Sempione Boutique Hotel in Stresa has 3-star accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. The manager and staff were fantastic, location great and the terrace bar was superb.

Located in Cannobio, in a historic building, 14 km from Piazza Grande Locarno, Ca Meison is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a private beach area and free bikes. The views are stunning, the hosts are fabulous. Their thoughtful presentation of the villa, drinks and food made our stay very special. Their personal history with the villa made us feel honored to be their guests.
