Only a block from the famous wine bars an old building has been remarkably restored to produce a hotel which is really almost like a member of Small Luxury Hotels. The value for money is outstanding and we come back and back. Breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. Arquitects should book to admire the impeccable quality of the restoration. Staff is very, very friendly and helpful.

Offering a terrace and views of the mountain, Candeias do Souto is located in Bragança in the Norte Region, 9 km from Braganca Castle. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Very nice renovated 200y old house, big rooms, clean, nice garden. A village of 27 persons :).

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. The place is fantastic, better than we expected! Great staff and warm welcoming, they service us their homemade excellent port when we arrived. The room is very spacious and charming with elegant antique furnitures, great atmosphere! The dinner was amazing! Great food and wine, they were very kind to serve us with another pre-drink of port, lots of great red wine during the dinner and with a 40years port after dinner. Breakfast is also nice and fresh! Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden and views of lake, Belas Vistas Hotel is set in Montalegre, 24 km from Carvalhelhos Thermal Spa. Arrived super early but room was ready so let me check in. Off road parking within the grounds for motorbike and able to park at rear out of sight although it’s a quiet place, beautiful views, good breakfast and room was very spacious clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Nearest super market was around 11km away. Petrol station just up the road and there’s a restaurant around 1.5k or so up the road that does lunch and evening meals.

Situated within 13 km of Natur Waterpark and 37 km of Douro Museum, Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Provesende. Fabulous views over the Douro valley! The owner was very friendly and helpful. However note that the closest restaurant is 10 min away by car.
