The location with the views and history was worth the stay.
Molinos is a village with no specific interest. The lack of water which were before coming from the melting of the ice of the high mountains has disappeared because of the climate change. So that, the agriculture activity almost disappeared and the village didn't find a way to create new professional activities. They should transform the village developing craft activities. It would be a fantastic place for craft activities. Maybe one day some NGO will help that community to develop new craft activities.
We loved our stay at Matices Molinos and would highly recommend. It is a tranquil oasis with the most spectacular view. Mario and his family treated us like family, and after not knowing what to expect from Molinos it ended up being one of our best highlights from our month-long trip in Argentina. Its a very peaceful town with gorgeous buildings, set against an incredible backdrop of the Andes. We would definitely go and stay with Mario and his family again, they were unbelievably hospitable and kind- and that view!!
We stayed at the Matices de Molinos Hostel on our way from Cafayate to Salta. We really liked the atmosphere, the fantastic view, the nature and from the first minute we felt like home. Mario and his family are really welcoming and they even invited us to their family dinner. They know the surrounding very good and can give a lot of helpful tips for activities. Muchas gracias!! We will definitely remember this stay.
Manolo is likely one of the best hosts I ever experienced in my travel life. He welcomed us, provided us with touristic information of the region and spent a good time talking to us about his life and the history of the region. Overall, the city of Molinos is small and chill, what allows you to walk around, talk to the people and take nice pictures. We loved staying at El Rancho de Manolo.
This estancia is truly exceptional. Located in beautiful surroundings, it offers top-level facilities, rooms, gardens,... in an amazingly peaceful atmosphere.
A visit to the James Turrell museum is a unique experience.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The wine and food are of high quality.
Our room was extremely spatious, it was more like a small appartment than a hotel room.
Elegant conversion of the last Spanish governor’s house. It’s quite understated and minimalist for a boutique hotel which makes a nice change from the over the top trimmings such places often suffer from. Food, winelist and service are excellent. The Hacienda is a true oasis on the dusty road between Cafayate and Cachi
Molinos is the perfect place to enjoy the quietness. The hostel facilitates that perfectly with the porch to chill and you have a view on nature from the beach chairs. Jesùs welcomed us warmly! And took us on a horsenback riding tour during sunset. We can only recommend this hostel!
Manolo and his team made our stay much more happy. We had the breakfast and dinner with Manolo. I don't know if there were more options in the pueblo. The hotel is very simple but attended my expectation.
It is an old mystic comfortable property to enjoy. Excellent restaurant! Stunning patio with an gorgeous old tree that speaks its soul. This hotel is the heart of a beautiful small town!
It's a charming hotel in a small town in a beautiful part of Salta. They have maintained the architecture and decor that represents the building and the history of the building
