A nice place for the travellers want to stay away from the busy cities like interlaken and Lucerne. Never the less well connected with both of places with a travel time of 30 minutes to 1 Hour by train. It’s must visit city alongwith the Rothorn Kulm. The lake is very nice and you can find food mart (COOP) very near to Brienz station along with local restaurants there.

Brienz is a small town on the shore of the Brienzersee that in October was a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay. It has a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The Rothornbahn will take you to the top of the Brienzer Rothorn with is fabulous views of the Alps. There are a lot of hiking trails that are easily accessible from Brienz. You can also take the boat across the lake to hike around Giessbach falls and enjoy the terrasse bar at the Grandhotel. We enjoyed eating at Tea Room Walz (which had a great vegan option) and Berghaus Planap (a bit of a hike). An outstanding selection of cheeses can be found at Chas Fritz. We also just enjoyed walking along the lake on the Brienzer Uferweg.

True gem of Switzerland.
True gem of Switzerland. A wonderful wood carving town by the lake side. Great food and culture here. Perfect place for walks. If you need to chill out without an agenda and do your own thing , this is a good option to explore. Safe to travel with loved ones. Locals are respectful and friendly. Also a good place to make a base and travel to other cantons of the country for day trips via ferry , train and bus (highly recommend taking a Swiss Pass) You can also take a dip in the lake and drink alpine water straight from the tap as the locals themselves do and recommend.

Brienz has the best of both worlds.
Brienz has the best of both worlds. On the one hand, it is a charming village with traditional buildings, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and with wonderful views over the Alps and the lake. On the other hand, it has shops and restaurants and it is served by frequent public transport, so you can use it as a base to explore the region, even if you don't have a car.
Nice location close to the town of Brienz if you have a car. We arrived late in the evening and did not see anybody at the desk but there was a note and key for us. The room is ok size but the deck is so large! I'd say the deck is even larger than the room. Unfortunately, it rained so we didn't have much time to enjoy the deck looking out to a pasture. Parking was right in front of hotel on the sidewalk. We were there in September, so we had plenty of space but I'm not sure how it'd be in busy summer. Overall, good value.
Atraditional wood built swiss style hotel situated up the hillside overlooking the town of Brienz and the lakes a few miles from Interlaken . The room was large , very clean and tidy and well thought out in its design . Our view was over the lakes to the mountains , very spectacular . The car park was large and not secure , however our motorbikes had a very trouble free night . Dinner and breakfast were excellent , the view from the dinning rooms is awesome . A great hotel that feels very swiss .
Two-story renovated section of a charming wooden house: ground floor has bedroom+bathroom+sunny patio, top floor has living room with open kitchen and good lake & mountain views from the windows. Clean and fresh, modern yet with historic touches. Very good location about half-way between Brienz and Brienz West stations (closer to West), easy 8-12 minutes walk, nearly flat. Easy self-check-in/check-out, prompt communication. Would be happy to stay again!

For a family or group of friends, this place is nice and relaxing. You can cook simple meals. They have a dishwasher too so that was a plus. There were also restaurants and cafes nearby. The train station was just a 3 to 5 min walk from the place. If it's not that expensive, I would probably stay there more often.
Great central location to most of the touristic sites, great view from the balcony of lake Brienz and surrounding mountains including the apartment being very clean and comfortable. The host was quick to answer a couple of questions that we had while we were there. The town of Brienz is very nice to walk around at any time especially along the path near the lake..
The apartment is very nice , just across the street is Lake Brienz .It's swiss chalet style The decaration is cozy ,feel comfortable. The kitchen is equiped with everything , microwave, oven ,fridge.
Parking is very easy ,2 lake car parks opposite the apartment and have lots of space .
There is coop supermarket nearby , Host is very nice .
Perfect location. Right in front of train station, and overlooks Lake Brienz itself. There's a kiosk with basic necessities plus 'coop' supermarket, an ATM and a few restaurants close by. Additionally, The location is right beside the popular steam train (Brienz Rothorn Bahn) that brings you up the mountain sightseeing.
Excellent spot with private balcony overlooking lake Brienz. Close to station and ferry. Lovely local hotels and shops. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The apartment was quiet and there was a private garden which was nice. There was a good washer/dryer which was great for us with small children,
It was called an Economy Room but it was better than many "normal" rooms I have stayed in. Great hotel in an amazing location with lake swim point right behind it. Special thanks to Maria the receptionist who was very friendly and helpful. I cam by bicycle and they were very helpful accommodating that
It was cosy and special- the food was delicious. They had cute little station for self service different teas and coffee… even soup you can make in a cup with hot water :)
Location was good and close to Interlaken , we were by car but I also saw a buss passing by in front of the hotel.
The hosts are extremely friendly and kind.
The view being right at the lake is awesome.
As it was warm enough during our stay, we even used the nice outdoor pool - the kids loved it.
For a stay in Brienz the location couldn't be better.
Clean and big house enough for family of four adults and 2kids ,view of mountains is awesome .All required cutlery and crockery was present. owners was present for any assistance required. Very near to all tourist spots and Brienz lake
Friendly staff, good location. We stayed for just one night as part of a hiking tour. Breakfast was good, there was no evening meal available but we discovered the best pizza in Switzerland close to the railway station.
This is without doubt the best B&B I’ve stayed in Switzerland. The location and attention to detail is amazing. Very good matress and bedding, brilliant self service kitchen and an excellent breakfast. Well done 👍👍
Nice hotel, right at the waterfront of the Brienzersee. Friendly staff at check-in and check-out. Breakfast was ok. The room was very specious and had a great balcony overseeing the lake, fantastic views.
Very clean. Quick check in. Small balcony with chairs and table and side view on the Brienz lake. Very nice buffet breakfast with a wide variety of sweet and savory food.
