(1) The location of the facilities - not located in the middle of a busy town. therefore it is quiet (except the side facing the railway). Opladed is the upmarket bit of Leverkusen- a very nice suberb which feels very safe and friendly. There is a pedestrianised shopping area (most shops being on 2 roads which cross each other) and this has a cosy feel to it rather than a big city atmosphere. There is a good variety of restaurants and other shops. Nostalgically (for us English) there is a large Woolworths! The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from Opladen train (& bus) station. Trains connect to Cologne (going South) and Wupppertal (North). If you want a train to Dusseldorf or Duisburg (e.g. for the Lanschaftspark in my case) you can get the 201 bus (every 20 mins) to the other station in central Leverkusen (Mitte). The hotel room was very nice, with a desk & chair provided for reading etc. For the breakfast buffet they had a nice variety of seeded bread rolls and meats as well as the usual cereals/juices/cheeses.

This hotel is located in the Carl-Duisberg-Park, directly at the Bayer ChemPark and 200 metres from the Japanese Garden in Leverkusen.
