Nice check-in, friendly, comfortable bed, super location not next, but actually in the train station. That means zero time between arriving and checking in and vice versa. Very generous, very generous breakfast.

nice location close to the town center (2 minutes walking) but very calm and quiet. spa was a very nice surprise, very clean and pretty: you had to book in advance but we got a slot without any issue. breakfast was simple but good (hot and cold options).
highly recommend for a relaxing gateaway!

A pretty little town surrounded by the Spanish mountains.
A pretty little town surrounded by the Spanish mountains. Lots of little lanes with shops to explore. A market square with a market on a Sunday. Some nice bars and restaurants and tons of outdoor activity shops, to buy and or hire all manner of equipment.

On route to this accommodation, one of our party was in a crash, badly hurt, hospitalized and his motorcycle un ridable. We contacted booking.com to cancel this booking, they said they would contact the host.
We also sent a message to the host and photo's of the damaged bike. We got nothing back other than an acknowledgment from booking.com of our request to cancel.
The next day, booking.com message saying, the host hasn't replied. We messaged the host again, nothing. I checked on booking.com, all messages and the booking, have disappeared.
5 days later we are charged the whole fee and recorded as a NO show. We raised this with booking.com, who said they would contact the host. A week later, we had heard nothing. I raised then this again with booking.com, a week later, still nothing. I'm now out of pocket and both parties remain silent. I'm unhappy with both parties

The lower part of the town is industrial but go higher into the old town.
Walk around the lake and look at the lovely buildings and the views over the country.
Everyone there is friendly and can speak Castilian Spanish or Catalan or French, do not expect English to be widely spoken.
It is an ancient town with an interesting history and very close to France.
Be aware that many restaurants close on Wednesday and Thursday and this is not a place to go if you look for late night entertainment.
Come to the town for fresh mountain air and reasonable prices and proximity to the mountains and France.

Nice town. Much more bustling than I was expecting.
Nice town. Much more bustling than I was expecting. Clearly it's the commercial capital of the region with lots of shops and restaurants. Some streets are a tad run-down, but most of the city is in a good state. People are friendly and amazingly multi-lingual!
Very good basic accommodation in an excellent location - directly in the heart of historic Puigcerdà. Staff were very helpful and gave me a secure place to store my bicycle. Room as small but functional and clean with a window overlooking the street. I was there on a Monday so things were quiet, but I imagine it could be pretty noisy on weekend evenings. No air conditioning but you generally don't need it in Puigcerdà even in summer. I slept with the window open without any problem.
Everything about this hotel was amazing! We loved watching the sun rise without having to get up from our bed; the shower was amazing (robe and slippers were also provided); breakfast had the BEST coffee "americano" of our entire 2 week trip around Spain/Catalunya; you are walking distance from the old town shops as well as dining options; and last but not least we had a very attentive host, who made sure we were properly taken care of during our stay.
The hotel is not in Puigcerda proper, but on the main road entering it. Parking is easy and plentiful, unlike inside the town. However if you want to visit the town itself, which you should, you wouldn’t want to walk there as it’s a fair way up a hill.
The property is fine, the staff are welcoming, the rooms are good and clean. so far so good.
breakfast is decent and acceptable. nothing out of the ordinary.
A very personable experience with such lovely hosts who couldn’t do enough to make our stay so great. Puigcerda was a real surprise, so much to offer, full of life, great places to eat and all great value and so much more, and all so close to the Hostal, and room was of a rally high standard with parking outside. Best Hostal we stayed in travelling in Spain for 3 months.
This place was amazing! The apartment is in a good location, the interior is well decorated and clean, and the view was amazing too! Wish we had more time to stay in Puigcerda. We would love to stay here again when we come back to the area. Appreciate the owners too who were very kind to accommodate our late check in and met one of them who was very nice and friendly!
The location is right off the Puigcerdá lake. Perfect for going for a wee stroll and enjoying the views and the abundance of birds in it.
The common areas of the hotel are very nice and cosy, including the pool and jacuzzi, they weren't crowded and were able to make the most of them
Amazing Hotel near the border with France but close enough to Puigcerdà. Beautiful gardens. Pool was a bit cool but ok for a short swim after a long day of trekking. Room was comfortable, toilet was big, we enjoyed the tub a lot, and we also had a small balcony to enjoy the views.
Very clean, modern & comfortable room. I like how they converted the upper part of the station to become a nice hotel. Lovely hot shower for a freezing night! Staff lady is friendly. Free parking outside the rail station. Easy walk to the town.
A true boutique hotel, everything was clearly thought through. The design, the rooms, the view, the breakfast, the service - really no lowpoints at all! Very central location, but still very quiet. Book the rooms with mountain view - amazing!
super clean. cozy wooden floor rooms. very comfortable beds. had rooms with bathroom facilities, and rooms with shared bathroom. 10 min. walk to the center of the city, which was fine with us. easy parking nearby. great breakfast!
The hotel is ideal for hikers, good early breakfast, swimming pool after a day's walk. The rooms are clean, spacious and well fitted out. We will surely return.
