The receptionist didn't speak English at all but we managed nicely. The room was clean, a lot of space, hot water in the shower, superb location, not too noisy at night.

Spectacular breakfast, with dedicated "egg chef", orange juice presser, crepes etc. etc. Excellent staff and service, who exceeded expectations after our ferry was delayed 4.5 hours to prepare something for us to eat and drink as the kitchen was closed when we arrived at 22:30. Unfortunately didn't get to use the spa facilities, but the breakfast alone is worth staying here for!

Bastia is a gorgeous village and very close to Saint Florent as well airport and a beautiful beach near the airport. We aren’t museum people but it was really very interesting in the citadel… worth a visit and free in the off season. Perhaps just a few days in Bastia would be sufficient and then head further south to explore.

City port with pretty historic center, main square, smaller port surrounded by the restaurants. Streets with the shops, cafes, good to stay for day or two. For everybody who likes the history, boats, shops, cafes and restaurants. Several public parking places (garages) are helpful, parking in the center is not easy, especially with the bigger car. Good shops with local deli.

Bastia is an interesting city. Lots to see and do.
Bastia is an interesting city. Lots to see and do. The train journey to Ajaccio is four hours, but it’s worth doing for the stunning scenery. Apart from that there isn’t much public transport in Corsica, so it’s not easy to explore the island with a vehicle.

A nice city with a tree lined main square the citadel was beautiful and a must to visit. The port areas had some lovely restaurants and bars. Some parts of the town are a little scruffy with graffiti but unfortunately it has become expected in most cities today, just sad it spoils some of the old quaint streets.
Plenty of buses and taxis and a main train station.
Some parts are steep for walking .
Felt safe and people were friendly,

Bastia is a busy ferry harbour city.
Bastia is a busy ferry harbour city. It is a gateway to Corsica. It has several nice pedestrian only streets with plenty of shops and places to eat. It is fine for a night or two as you enter / exit Corsica (ferry or plane) it is a good hub for onward travel (bus and train) but it is not a holiday destination. There are no beaches within walking distance of the city centre.

This is not a holiday destination for those who like to laze on a sandy beach. It is a very beautiful mountainous island full of history, with its small towns that seem to cling to the sides of the mountains, its ancient buildings that look like they are crumbling, it's narrow winding streets with steps everywhere, its lively restaurants and bars that are a mixture of Corsican and Italian and a sea that is one minute like a mill pond and quite wild the next. The views are breathtaking, and the people are very friendly and proud of their heritage. It is a wild unspoilt place where the language is often Italian, the food has a very italian influence and the people are really kind. The town of Bastia is quite small so take the coastal train or bus. It is possible to visit the whole island in 2 weeks and well worth it.
The location was great for discovering all parts of Bastia. 10 minutes to the citadel and a lovely walk it is , a stones throw from the harbour and an easy stroll to the beach. The ease of check in and access to the hotel and the rooms was fantastic. The room was well presented, clean and funky just as it said it would be. Loved the decor and the little touches. The staff in the hotel bar were friendly and helpful. Really great place to stay.
We stayed at this hotel during the first two nights of our trip around Corsica. The hotel is located between the city and the airport. The historic centre of Bastia is a 30 minute walk. Hotel rooms are nice and clean, although ours only had a small window that overlooked a parking lot (I expect that there are some rooms that overlook the sea). I liked the restaurant that served nice Corsican dishes, and its terrace in the front yard.
Alex is the perfect host, on arrival there were plenty coffe capsules and local corsican Canistrelis by the entrance-
Always appreciated thank you.
The flat is large, confortable, simple but nicely furnished, two minutes form the Place St. Nicolas, the air con is good and the flat well equipped.
I know Bastia very well and we will definitly go back to Alex's flat for our future visits.
'Alex, We'll be back'.

The hosts were very welcoming, provided us with detailed information about Corsica in general and Bastia in particular, recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner and the best time to visit the local market. The guest apartment was very comfortable and clean, it had a very well equipped kitchen, excellent shower room and - last but not least - a very comfy bed. Would recommend to anyway who goes to Bastia!
Magnificent location, food, service, rooms, and staff. Very easy to get to airport, city centre or beach.
Spa and pool very clean and the place its self was peaceful and relaxing by just sitting in the garden hearing the birds or the water and admire the plans and the green around. Thank you for making our last 2 nights of our holiday amazing.
Given the cost of hotels in Bastia then this is a reasonable option if you are waiting for a ferry the next day as we were. Lovely roof top area which views beyond. Plenty of car parking and an option for a garage however you must pre-book. Room was comfortable with good air conditioning. The receptionist staff are multi-lingual.
Easy walk from ferry terminal.
Friendly receptionist who allowed us to check in early.
Comfortable, modern, clean room.
Very handy for minibus to airport ( 5 min walk up main street, left out of hotel.) which started from just in front of prefecture.
Very close to main square and easy walk to Bastia old harbour.
Fantastic location in Bastia. Staff were SO friendly and helpful. I brought in food from a cafe and they helped me heat it up and gave me plates and cutlery to eat it with. Air conditioning worked well. Very clean. Would definitely stay again.
The location is good to go around Bastia, the restaurant is really good, and the terrace pool is such a cool place to chill. It gets a lot of sun.
The hotel is clean, the rooms are kept tidy and clean, and the bed is quite comfortable
The hotel has best Beautiful of view in Bastia ! The location is near the port , it is easy driving to the ferry . Around the hotel has a lot of good restaurants . The staffs were very friendly . Helped us easy visiting in Corsica.
The rooms are really small (but conformable with a few smart solutions to best use the available space). The hotel is also on a noisy street, but to be fair you can't expect downtown and a quiet location.
We arrived very early off the ferry and they very kindly allowed us to drop off our luggage. The hotel is a great location- same street as tourism office, several cafes, and the buses that leave town.
After dinner in Bastia there were no taxis available after 9pm so the owner/manager of the hotel personally came into town to collect me!
good breakfast selection including hot food
The views to old and new harbors from the room as well as from the terrace are exceptional. Friendly helpful staff. Very nice and cozy little hotel. Loved the stay there.
