Nice cozy interieur, high quality finishing, fun details that refer to the original use of the location. Loved the photo album that showcases the hard work put into this place to conserve and transform the place into its current state. All the necessary appliances are there to prepare a decent breakfast.
Would love to come back.

It was value for money, and you get what you paid for.
The bed was clean and comfortable enough, the warm water worked and the door could be closed and locked locked. On street parking, when we arrived Saturday night there was plenty available.
Must-see for lovers of history. Old city of the Gauls, long before Christ; city of the Romans, with their roads visible from the mountain top; city of medieval battles, remembered by a monument on the mountain's terrace; city of Marechal Foch, the commander of the French armies in WWI. Some nice restaurants, pubs, and little streets to discover. Look for the 'Rue des remparts' - its well hidden, but you will like it.

Amazing small village, both quiet but a lot to offer.
Amazing small village, both quiet but a lot to offer. Real Flamish architecture for a great stay. We've eaten to the Haut bonheur de la Table, a Michelin restaurant ticking all the boxes, but for a reasonable price in the end. We will be back!

Cassel is a small town built on a ramparted hill.
Cassel is a small town built on a ramparted hill. It has a museum, gallery, tourist offices, nice shops and a wealth of restaurants. At the top of the hill where the castle once stood is a great park. There are some great walks nearby. The local beer and cheese is highly recommended.
This is a beautiful house right in the centre of Cassel, just off the Grand Place. There is free parking just round the corner from the property, right on the main square. The house is newly renovated, to a very high standard, with high quality fittings and decoration. Everything is comfortable and modern. The host is friendly and welcoming and met us at the property to give us the keys. You are right in the middle of the town, so the location is perfect. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Cassel.
What an incredible place! So beautifully decorated, the photos really don't do it justice. Such comfortable, sumptuous elegance, it was a wonderful place to arrive after a long drive. The complementary Cassel beers were very gratefully received. Elise made us very welcome, showing us the beautiful room, the winter garden and sauna. She also recommended a brilliant local restaurant.
I cannot recommend Jardin D'hiver enough. It's a real gem, I hope we end up to there again. Thanks so much Elise and family!
The location was perfect, just a few yards from the Grand Place - exactly where we wanted to be. There was free parking right outside the property as well. This meant that the shops were very close by and we had a choice of restaurants in the evening.
Jean-Louis made contact before our arrival and could not have been more helpful, some gifts on arrival were very welcome! The Gite was very well equipped and had everything we needed. If we return to Cassel, this would be my first choice of places to stay.
The host cared a lot about our experience, made sure he could welcome us properly, asked what he could improve and so on. The location is ideal, the house is well decorated, good beds and linen. One of the best house rental ever. Free parking was always available though I am guessing summer could be more of a challenge. Being right in the center of Cassel was absolutely great though.
Met by the owner Jean-Louis who was super helpful and friendly. Took the time to explain the property, Cassel and local attractions. He took the trouble to ask if everything was OK. The property is a well maintained and tastefully restored 3 bedroom house located in a fantastic position in Cassel. Will definitely return if visiting this region of France in the future.
Manoir du Kasteelveld is trully beautiful, large french one bedroom annexe enjoying great views over a tranquil garden. Eric and Sylvie were wonderful hosts. Booking dinner for us in Cassel. Fabulous breakfast served in our room. Their home is very peaceful and quiet, but only a short drive to Cassel. Wish we had more time to stay.
The entrance courtyard looks lovely, the hotel has obviously been very beautiful and well-loved in the past and has lovely original features. We stayed in the king suite with spa bath and the room was a good size and the bed very comfortable.
Excellent location in the centre of Cassel just a 2 minute walk from the Grand Place and near to a very good boulangerie. The property has been renovated with the work done to a good standard. There is a free car park close to the property.
The staff, nothing was too much. We arrived at almost midnight and they stayed up to greet us. The village and hotel location perfect. Breakfast great, lovely fresh breads.
