I didn't think the hotel was as easy to find as others have suggested. The underground parking is good..... HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO BOOK A SPACE BEFORE ARRIVAL. This is not highlighted on the Booking.com website

The town is wonderful.
The town is wonderful. Old stonehouses and also palaces and great administrative old buildings in baroque and classical styles. Surrounding mountains add to the views. Sadly you could see quite a lot drug users and homeless and unemployed people.Andreas - 10Scored 10
We were on our way to Les Arc to ski so needed a somewhere...
We were on our way to Les Arc to ski so needed a somewhere to stay overnight that was conveniently close to the motorway. The Chambery Ibis hotel ticked all the boxes and allowed us to continue our journey completely refreshed, at a very reasonable cost.

My husband left valuable jewellery in room by mistake .. after email and 3 phone calls he could not get any result. We are still trying to have his property returned .. the receptionist keeps saying they do not speak English and tell him to phone back. Very distressing.

The rooms are period-decorated, very comfortable and with all your favourite extras - Nespresso machine, good toiletries and plenty of hangers (not usual in many French hotels!). The main chateau has the larger rooms. Set above the city of Chambery, the views are spectacular and it is very quiet. The sofa bed could have been more comfortable but they are never great and it was only for a stop-over of one night. The location of the hotel was great, near to bars and restaurants where we could get a good meal etc ... The breakfast in the morning was delicious, a fantastic selection and choice - would highly recommend it.
