The location, the Ocres, surrounding towns and breakfast were great and the host was amazing! Because we traveled off season, there were no places open for dinner. However, David was able to send us just a few miles away to 2 different towns that had great places to eat for dinner and even made reservations for us so we were guaranteed a table.

The room was very comfortable and the view from the balcony was the best in the town.

Pool was very clean and inviting after hot days touring the Luberon. The owners were lovely and very helpful. They explained the history of the guesthouse of 9 rooms, that it was built in the 70s as the original hotel for Roussillon and the owners have spent last 9 yrs updating it. Every room feels private by way of its situation at an angle from the others, quite unique. It feels very calm and peaceful in the country but still a short drive to Rousillon and Gordes. The breakfast was cooked to order and substantial.

Everything is just perfect. From the service and hospitality, to the facilities, breakfast, view and the location. Everything is beyond my expectation. We even had our best croissant and jam here.

It was an excellent location to explore the villages in the area including Roussillon. Please note however, that it is not situated in any town, but in a lovely forested area near many beautiful villages.

The old property was, we think, a farmhouse.
The old property was, we think, a farmhouse. There was no a/c. 40 decrees day. Night too hot. Many door & windows wouldn't open for ventilation. Bathroom glass door panel was seriously cracked, as was panel on shower wall. Dangerous. Some elec. points old and loose. No tv. but didn't mind. Host, Christine, couldn't have been more helpful. Good breakfasts. Lovely location. Peaceful and quiet.

Rousillon is a cute little hilltop village - we had a wonderful stroll and dinner and overnight stay at La Maison des Ocres. I would recommend it for an overnight stop but not necessary for a long stop.

A few comments we read indicated some sort of weird vibe from this town, which made us second-guess our decision to visit and stay in the area. But we are so glad we didn't change our plans - we didn't feel that way at all. We loved Roussillon. The shops and the restaurants were great, most with balconies over the cliffs and very good, reasonably priced meals. Plenty to see and do in the area.

Roussillon is a beautiful little old village on a hilltop with magnificent views. There are lots of reasonably priced restaurants. There is a public car park quite near the centre which is not expensive and free on a Sunday.

Very picturesque & clean, with wonderful views of the cliffs & the
surrounding area & the entire town smelled great! Terrific place for
walking (if you like uphill climbs!); not so great for cars (not unexpected) but most car traffic observes safety rules. The Thursday market was full of beautiful, fresh foods as well as lots of things you'd actually like to buy! Perfect spot in Provence!
Les Bartavelles is the perfect place to stay in Provence😊🇫🇷You’re just a few kilometers away from the most amazing cities. Quiet is unbelievable and the view from the room is jaw dropping!
Feels like home and if you like a strong and warm shower, that’s what you get😁
But the most valuable point is that the couple that owns the place are LOVELY people and they host you awesomely. The breakfast is DELICIOUS with local products and, of course tasty croissants 👏🥐😍
Lou Amourie is a gem! The house and garden are gorgeous and comfoortable! The setting is breathtaking! The breakfast is perfect!
Phillipe and Didier are the best part of the stay. They're both so welcoming and friendly; ready to offer advice on dining and attractions; and genuinely interested in the travel plans of their guests. I cannot imaging traveling to anywhere within a hundred miles of Roussillon and not staying at Lou Amourie!
Lovely location right in the heart of the town. Owner took great care to give us precise instructions where to park the car and how to get to property. Hostess gave us a lot of tips for food and local area. typical French sweet breakfast with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. maybe some cold cuts and cheese with tomatoes would be great. All in all, we had a lovely stay in beautiful Roussillon. I'd recommend this B&B to anyone.
The apartment was modern and peaceful, in a gated community with free parking. Although we only stayed one night, it was perfect for an extended stay. The bedroom, bathroom, balcony, and kitchen/living area were spacious and had every convenience. I recommend walking the nearby Ochre Trail to see fantasticly coloured rock formations and then strolling around Roussillon's ancient lanewsys and seeing panoramic views.
Absolutely superb Manor House, tastefully and sumptuously restored in an idyllic spot just 4km from Roussillon. Beautiful bedrooms each themed by an Impressionist artist. Free tea/ coffee making facilities. Breakfast was served in courtyard and was also wonderful with fresh berries, pastries and truffle omelette. The attention to detail certainly evident. Philippe is a welcoming host. Thank you !
The breakfast was wonderful. Lovely view on their patio. There was a variety of continental and protein options. Complete with a nice amount of coffee!
Eric and Paola also helped with driving ideas and dining. This was helpful.
The pool was a wonderful bonus! The south of France can get warm and the pool was refreshing after a day of sightseeing.
Beautiful home in a tiny village. The lovely decorating gave our room an upscale feel. Nice to relax by the pool with a glass of wine. Good breakfast and ample parking. Within a short drive to Roussillon which was one of our favorite places, but it would not be a walkable distance. Hosts spoke some English which was helpful.
Charming idyllic lodging! Our lavender cottage was everything we wanted and more. After meeting the staff the first night, we were mostly left alone in a good way. Location was great for visiting the rest of Luberon. Had a chance to try the on site restaurant before it closed for the weekend.
Beautiful property, amazing location. We didn’t want to leave!! It’s been lovingly restored to a very high level with everything you could need for a holiday plus more. It’s ideally located in the middle of the Luberon national park so nowhere is too far to go.
We had a wonderful time. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, spacious and absolutely beautiful apartment with an amazing view, great swimming pool, extremely convenient location in the beautiful town of Roussillon. Highly recommended!
Exceptional hotel because of the tranquil atmosphere and the sense of beauty and hospitality that the owners have! A place to feel very welcome, but also to hang around casually by the pool or in the garden without being disturbed.
The breakfast was very good. The pool and surroundings are beautiful. It's stunning at night with the lighted globes in the trees and on the ground. Loved that the hotel is a ten-minute walk to Rousillon center.
Incredible view of the island from our room and the restaurant. Closest hotel to the island - an easy 30 minute stroll or 5 minute shuttle (free). Room was spacious and very clean. Good value for money.
A beautiful property and wonderful hosts. Having the pool to sit at after a busy day was so relaxing. Walk to town was easy. Great location to visiting other Luberon villages. Excellent breakfast.
Location! View from the pool at the Roussillon village walking there just in 2 min! Very quiet and private! Pool superb! Very friendly, helpful hosts! Nice breakfast with good local products!
Has free parking space reserved for hotel guests. Great view to the landscape from the room. The restaurant Davids is in 2022 Michelin Guide and the front desk can help with the reservation.
Excellent location just 10 min walk from the ocre path and Roussillon itself.
Great relaxing pool area.
Breakfast low key but up to standard with delicious fresh pastries.
Clean and cordial staff. Small fridge in the room and AC works well. Close to Roussillon center by car.
The pool was open and sadly I didn’t get to use.
