The location was beautiful with an amazing view of the river, bridges and sparkling lights at night. The breakfast is ordered the night before and is delivered to your room. There were nice touches like bathrobes and hot water bottles. The bathroom was massive with a lovely big bath and shower. The location is right near restaurants and shops. We wished we had stayed for more than one night as we did not have enough time to look around the area.

A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from; in warmer weather it would be lovely to eat outside and enjoy the views of the river.

Food options are varied, good old English, Italian, fine dining and tapas. The village is beautiful with many old properties that are well maintained. Pubs are oldy worldly and very busy at weekends. Plenty of good coffee shops. Paid Parking is available at either end of the village if staying over 1 hour so no problem parking. Village parking is restricted. Walking options are all around and many locals are happy to oblige if you need directions.

Absolutely stunning, beautiful place full of character.

Absolutely stunning, beautiful place full of character. We visited slightly out of season so was not too busy. Smiths is an amazing restaurant, specialising in gourmet burgers, you will not be disappointed! Lots of other independent shops selling a range of crafts, antiques and much more.

This is by far the most excellent hotel/B&B in the Cotswolds. I could not fault anything! The historic building has been recently and tastefully renovated so you get that historic feel, but with all the creature comforts. The rooms were very clean with ample coffee and teas and towels. The free breakfast was made to order and was absolutely delicious. Not usually I breakfast person but gobbled it down. The staff were all delightful. Cannot recommend highly enough!

the staff were amazing. they had just experienced a kitchen fire three weeks before our arrival so unfortunately the dining room was closed. they took great care of us and made breakfast arrangements at a nearby hotel. we could just imagine what the ambiance would have been had they been fully operational. would love to return just to see how they are making out. one if the nicest and warmest experiences we have had.

Bath room is luxury with those lotion and toiletaries. Bath tub is classice. We have 2 meals with them and its remarkable. Lastly, hotel staffs is really friendly and service minded, great job. The house itself is perfect for a sociable stay with friends or family. Perfectly located just a short walk to the town centre it makes for a great base for exploring the surrounding area. We were staying at the venue as we were getting married in the Cotswolds and the hosts were kind enough to leave flowers for us upon our arrival. Everything thought of, very clean and comfortable, highly recommend!

Good location in lovely town of Bourton on the Water. Staff was very friendly, responsive to our needs and helpful. Special thanks to the chef who got up early to prepare take-away breakfast sandwiches -delicious and filling - an hour before scheduled breakfast service so that we could get an early start on hiking.
