The room was excellent, spacious, comfortable and clean. I did have to unplug the mini fridge but after that had a great nights sleep. Staff were happy to help with anything I asked about.

Very comfortable and quiet. Perfect for our bikepacking trip as there was room for our bikes in the room, a double bed each and the bar served delicious food! Lovely spot near a canal with very friendly staff!

Kate obviously puts her heart and soul into Holly Cottage - so many little personal touches - the home-made granola was superb. Everythings is spotless and Kate and Matt are very welcoming hosts.

We go to Gainsborough ever year or so, partly to see the Trent Bore - see picture. The Bore is often a bit of a disappointment but once or twice has been wonderful, a natural marvel.
Other attractions are Gainsborough Old Hall and Gainsborough Model Railway. Sundown kids adventure land isn't too far away.

Gainsborough is a small old port town with lots of old riverside warehouses. Some are now flat`s others are cafes and eateries. The town centre is a typical market square with shops around and along little lanes. Just off from town is The Old Hall and All Saints Church.
There are some Real Ale pubs The Elm Cottage being one, just up from the church, and the 8 Jolly Brewers in town.
Access into the surrounding countryside is easy with beautiful walks and other Towns close by.

It's an historic and once grand hotel, full of charm but it is still a building site sadly.
The rooms was clean and comfortable.
It isn't that easy to fund as it is in a pedestrian zone and the satnav knows where it is but likes a scenic tour!
Parking is excellent once found, in a large secure covered coach house.
The hotel attracts ghost hunters and there's a few spooky stories online but they didn't come out during the stay.
There's no restaurant but plenty in about a minute away.

As we were only there for a wedding, there wasn't much time for sightseeing although we did manage a walk around the town and a visit to the Farmers Market.. We also visited the Great Hall which was well worth the visit. We did notice that there seemed to be a lot of closures, but this is currently the trend in plenty of towns mostly due to covid.

Room was ok, newly decorated,, with new carpets and so we're the corridars, but no bar facilities, and rear entrance from the parkng garage was like a building site, if i had known there was no bars open i would not have stayed, and booked over the road at the horse and jockey
Mr. Sunil is a quite a professional Manager and respects guests with a smile. He upgraded my room and provided a room according to my requirement. The late check in was fabulous. Big size comfy bed and washroom is quite spacious and clean. Love the Big TV that comes with Netflix. Had a peaceful sleep even on the weekend. Location is central and Free secure car park is an advantage . Thanks Sunil . I will come and visit your Gainsborough hotel soon . My best recommendation for Gainsborough Hotel. Keep it up.
On arrival I was acknowledged and checked in promptly. The housekeeper/assistant whose name escapes me, was friendly and happy and without fuss showed me to my room and kindly organised a fan for me for the night. The room appeared to be newly decorated and was clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable too. There is a kettle in the room with tea, coffee etc. towels and a good powerful shower. All in all I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. I would use Gainsborough Hotel again.
The food was lovely, Lincolnshire sausages, mash, peas, Yorkshire pud and lashings of hot rich gravy. Preceeded by a traditional prawn cocktail. What could be better ?
The room was comfortable, in hotels most beds are ok, this one was really comfy and the pillows were great. Plenty of tea and coffee. The en-suite was fine a decent shower with good water pressure
It was more American motel that a hotel the room was amazing, spacious and the bed comfy. Bathroom was nice. With a sofa plenty of room to lounge and towels.
Well kept, clean and tidy. Very presentable inside and out like our own little bungalow to stay in.
The parking was secure which was handy being on a motorbike. The hotel is centrally located with a few pubs etc around it. The price was perfect for what we needed the room for, somewhere to use as a base.
Great, a clean room with a decent location for Gainsborough and Lincoln. Stopped here for a wedding nearby and it made for the perfect base. Breakfast the following morning was amazing.
At the last minute we decided to book a hotel as we where visiting Blyton Circuit and this popped up. Great staff, fantastic location to the circuit and great room.
The rooms are great and brand new. High quality decoration, shower room is superb. I really liked this hotel and strongly recmmend. I will staying there again
