We stayed here for one night on our roadtrip and were pleasantly surprised. The room was cosy with an amazing bed, so we had a great night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and sufficient for the two rooms. We also had a lovely chat with the host who gave us a few recommendations for stops on our way. Although no breakfast is provided, there is plenty of coffee and tea to get started in the morning. There is also a shop close-by to get snacks.

Stylishly decorated, cosy property with fantastic views of the sea from the bedroom, set in a beautiful garden. Was our favourite accommodation during our holiday in Scotland. Emma was a great host and made the most delicious breakfast! Hope to stay again one day.

Laide is a small village and Oceanview is the place to go to for drinks and a meal. Laide Wood which isn’t far away is absolutely brilliant and well worth a visit. All the local beaches are spectacular - even went for a swim at Slaggan Bay. On a fine day, the waters and sands rival the Med in the colours and clarity.

The breakfast was outstanding.
The breakfast was outstanding. The host was very nice and friendly. It’s not a property however where you could sit outside of an evening and enjoy the view but it was close driving distance to a lovely beach.

The room and hotel was spotlessly clean. In a beautiful position and a warm welcome. We were able to have a meal in the bar/restaurant there although delivery of goods being delayed meant we couldn’t have what we ordered.
We had a continental breakfast the following day which was fine. Plenty of parking at the hotel.

Laide is beautifully positioned on the loch shore with wonderful dramatic views all around. Lots of walks and beaches. A little disappointing that everything closes on Sunday but the trip to Gareloch was worthwhile.

Laide is a pretty village ideally located for anyone exploring the western coast of the Highlands or on the NC500 route. There are restaurants and take always in the area and the petrol station is a 24hr unmanned, pay-at-pump arrangement right outside the post office - good fun! There is a fabulous beach at Mellon Udrigle about 5 mins drive along the coast

Laide is remote and a tiny village so rating it is more about rating the area.. You don't end up in the area where Lovecroft is if you are not looking to be in very rural and a wild part of Scotland. The setting is gorgeous. Angela directed us to a new museum in nearby Gairloch, which was outstanding--everything from the fascinating geological history of the area to the history of the lighthouse and of crofting in the area. This is the kind of remote where you hope to find a cosy comfortable place, and we did.
