Tynemouth has beautiful beaches and views, with plenty of pubs with real ale and cafes. Great place to visit as day trip from Newcastle on the Metro, or as stopping off point on coastal walk/cycle.

I have visited Tynemouth on previous occasions though this was the first time i had stayed there. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate on this occasion but from experience Tynemouth is an excellent place for a relaxing break.
There are coastal walks and History in the town which is very well kept. Also there are several places of interest to visit nearby and the centre of Newcastle is a 20 minute ride on the Metro.

A really super little village on the edge of Newcastle.
A really super little village on the edge of Newcastle. Super beaches. Independent shops. Lots to do. Priory is stunning. The modern Tynemouth Castle inn is stunning too. Good food. Lots to do. Lovely atmosphere.
Location was spectacular. Views from flat couldn't be beaten. Beds were comfortable (i.e. the mattress). It was easy enough to find the key and get in to the property. It had neutral décor. Access to Tynemouth facilities (loads of great pubs and restaurants) was a 5 minute walk and parking was plentiful, free and easy to access right outside the flat. No traffic noise. 5 minute walk to metro station so really easy to get to Newcastle if required.
Peacock House is a marvellous place to stay (hidden gem), the pictures do not do it justice. it’s huge for 2 people. if you like space it’s great. just a 2 minute walk to all the cafes restaurants and bars in Tynemouth and easy access to metro for travel further afield. we’ve already booked in our next visit. favourite room was sitting in kitchen with wine and music on the Sonos speaker.
Amazing location so close to the beach in Tynemouth. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice place to stay whilst enjoying the town. Clean, cozy and a super nice host. He even kindly took the time to post me my items that I had left behind. Coffee shops, supermarkets and restaurants surround you on the high street. Also the station only a 5-10 minute walk away.
Breakfast was great! Made it myself in the kitchen.
Location was very good, close to Front St, Tynemouth.
Short walk to Metro, stores, historic Tynemouth Castle and coast.
Wish I had time to stay there longer than the 2 days I had available.
I am looking forward to staying there next time I get back to UK.
Excellent apartment, ideal for a family stay.
Me and my son stayed here for a couple of night's arrived on bikes they were stored securely.. we had a great time enjoying the hotel and it amenities we enjoyed the balcony felt like we had the run of this stunning house and enjoyed the community kitchen and its stunning views we will definitely return to this hidden Gem
Excellent location in Tynemouth. Short walking distance to beaches, bars and restaurants. Excellent secure parking in gated car park at rear of property.
House has good facilities, clean and comfortable.
Booking management very good. Would use again.
Tynemouth is a lovely area and very easy to take the metro in Newcastle.
The location is ideal for exploring everything Tynemouth has to offer, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beaches. Edith Haven is an excellent holiday home, tastefully decorated, clean and spacious enough for our party of four. A few welcome treats from the owner Raymond was a lovely touch too.
The place is great. It's fresh, well cared for and pretty well equipped. The location is first class with cafes, restaurants and local pubs just around the corner. The views along the coast across the river and of the Tynemouth Priory are simply magnificent. Parking is designated so no problems there at all.
Location was great within easy reach of the sea and beaches and close to restaurants and pubs. Although we didn’t use the Metro there were 2 stations within easy walking distance. We enjoyed the market in the Tynemouth station. All in all , a good stay with everything we needed.
The location of the house was good within walking distance of Tynemouth centre considering this was not our original destination for staying at Tynemouth due to the original property not being available. The house was modern & comfortable.
The property has just been totally refurbished and the art deco character of the building has been retained throughout.
The rooms were immaculately clean and the bar was beautifully decorated for the upcoming festive season.
The property was immaculately clean, fresh and modern. Great location, a short walk into Tynemouth. The host, Raymond, was very helpful and communicative before and during our stay.
The best thing about the property is its location close to the centre of Tynemouth village and, for us, ease of access to other parts of the North East where we have family.
This is my third time at the hotel and I love the decor, comfort and location. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are spotless. Staff are welcoming and friendly.
Stunning apartment, in walking distance to Tynemouth. quiet location. Furnishings were excellent, bedding amazing, great facilities, everything was beautiful.
Well equipped, comfortable and attractive apartment close to a park in North Shields. Within walking distance of a metro station and Tynemouth Main Street.
