Hotel Panellinion is full of history and I couldn't have picked a better option to travel for work. Right in the centre of the city, in walking distance to everything. Staff is very friendly and was very surprised to hear from their side, how the hotel has survived through the years, dated since 1906 if I am correct. They gave me their best room with my balcony view facing the main square of Trikala, as well as a glimpse of the river. At the reception I heard all sorts of stories about all the significant people that have stayed there, from politicians to art people and so on. The decoration is like you travel back in time (20's-40's style). Furniture may look outdated to some, but personally I wouldn't change a thing! As far as breakfast goes, they have a lovely table seating area next door, where you can order anything you like!

Beautiful resort, lovely layout and decor of the entire place. Delightful attention to detail both of grounds and interior space. Comfortable, inviting, great day indoors when it was raining. Hosts were wonderful, kind, welcoming, and informative. Breakfast was always fresh, elaborate, many home made goods, wide range of sweet to savory.

We loved absolutely everything about this property! It’s a perfectly located haven, steps away from very centre of Trikala - yet it’s very quiet. The residence is on the ground floor, gate is on the street but entrance to the house itself is through a small garden. Very safe and quaint. Very well equipped and our host was there to welcome us and explain everything. She lives upstairs so she would be available to resolve any problems if they arise.

With the river in the middle of the city and all the bicycles on the streets it feels like you are in a big European capital. The locals take very good care of their city and it shows. Nice restaurants and bars, great shopping district, very beautiful historical sights. I could live there for sure!

A vibrant town that was great for wandering around.
A vibrant town that was great for wandering around. Not many concessions to tourists and all the better for that - you really felt you had the authentic Greek experience. In addition a number of good restaurants and excellent coffee shops. No real stand-out sights, though the old town, the castle and the mill were all worth a visit. Easy to do an excursion to Meteora as it was only about half an hour drive or train journey.

Tríkala is blessed with a progressive and expert-oriented city council. Its mayor is a figure in Greece’s urban planning scene. That makes Tríkala a very well-run city with pedways, a river walk, a beautifully restored historic core, which is also the epicenter of restaurants, cafes, and clubs, respect for its Ottoman-era monuments (Trikala features one of the most significant mosques in the region), and well-mannered drivers (stopping at crosswalks when someone is waiting to cross). Importantly, then, it’s the place to stay when you visit amazing Meteora!

Nice city which runs with European standards!
Nice city which runs with European standards! The only downfall is the traffic and difficult parking near the centre, but there's always the option to rent a bike if the weather allows. Not to be missed during Christmas time, especially from families with small children!

Beautiful city, lots to see, lots of history, centrally located to visit other cities and Meteora.
The river that runs through Trikala gives the city am amazing atmosphere.
It was my first time there I would definitely come back!
The place was perfect for our family of 4 and a dog. Everything looked just like the photos. Very clean and modern decor. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed for a couple nights. There was wine and a basket of goodies left for us. The beds were comfortable. Wi-Fi was good. The outdoor yard was huge and surroundings are private and beautiful. There are chickens, dogs and cats who live on the property too. The host comes to care for them.
We had a car, which was necessary, but only a short drive to Trikala.
I only spent one night here on my way to my final holiday destination, but the wonderful way I was welcomed by Ioanna made me feel like the most special guest! She was the essence of the Greeks’ reputation for generous hospitality.
The apartment was super clean, the bed extremely comfortable, and the location is just a 10-minute walk to the city centre. I’d gladly stay here again if I come back to Trikala one day.
The house is newly build and fresh 100%. The size and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Location is close to city centre whilst there is no noise and there is parking. If we were to spend time again at Trikala we would start from this place and then to see for hotels. This time round we ended there by chance.
Amazing apartment, the kind of space any 30-40 yrs old bachelor would like to own, serious work has been done on the layout and the decoration, wish there were more places like this one to rent not only in Trikala but in Athens too. Brand new electric devices, spectacular work with the lights and the colors.
Clean, spacious house situated on a quiet dead end street in a 15’ walking distance from the centre of Trikala. In the house you will find any amenities you may need for a short trip. Having a super market just around the corner is certainly a plus!! Our host was very supportive also- thank you!
Calm location 10 minutes away from the city with spacious rooms, communication with the staff was easy. Place does not have much around but it is suitable for a couple of days accommodation while visiting Trikala and wanting to avoid the late traffic and parking issues.
The multi-purpose room was ideal for our corporate event, and the hotel's modern facilities added a professional touch. The comfortable rooms provided a relaxing atmosphere after a day of meetings. Will choose it again for future business stays.
During my stay in Trikala, the apartment offered a peaceful retreat. The quiet surroundings, coupled with its impeccable cleanliness and the free parking right in front of the house, contributed to the overall serenity. Highly recommend!
Really beautiful room and very friendly staff. Very good breakfast (they also prepared a breakfast package for us as we had to leave early on our last day). Very convenient distance to both Trikala and Kalampaka / Metrora monasteries
Breakfast was worthy of a 4+star hotel. The location was convenient and the soundproofing of the outside windows was excellent. Easy layout of the rooms from the elevator and breakfast room with wide views of the street and river.
The apartment was very comfortable, 2 bedrooms, big living room wc and bathroom
Location was great, walking distance to the center of Trikala bakeries, super markets and anything you might need
Clean and super modern
Perfectly located in downtown Trikala, these apartments are beautifully modern with everything you need for a great stay! The owner of the property was so nice and helpful with any questions or anything we needed.
Staff at this hotel displayed exceptional professionalism and provided outstanding service throughout my stay. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any request made my experience truly memorable.
This hotel is excellent! Staff is super helpful, centrally located in Trikala, we stayed there to Visit Meteora and it was perfect to go from there. Breakfast was nice enough and got us going for the day.
