We enjoyed our staying at the Hotel Sorriso and Toscolano Maderno. The host extremely friendly, and welcoming. The bedroom was spacious with comfy beds, and so the bathroom. The breakfast was also very good with plenty of sweet or savory choices. We found Toscolano Maderno a very convenient location to visit either the southern or the northern parts of Lago di Garda. I really hope to come back in the future and, if so, Hotel Sorriso will definitely be our choice

In short, a professional service on top of a completely renovated hotel environment. The owner couple, Stefania and Naren, are internationally trained and run this small hotel with passion and love for the job. Close to the hotel, a newly built path starts along the lake, taking you in 15-20 min to the portside. Excellent buffet breakfast and fresh eggs served on demand.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. For example, although we arrived on a Wednesday when the restaurant is officially closed, the proprietor nevertheless prepared us a tasty pasta meal. At breakfast an omelet was offered as well as a pretty comprehensive continental breakfast. The market (Thursdays) and the Museo della Carta (photos) are well worth visiting.
