We visited Arnhem because of it's close proximity to the Hoge Veluwe National Park. Very easy return journey there by bus and I would recommend staying in Arnhem rather than Otterlo. Also to visit the war museum and cemetery. Very good shopping facilities as well. Even though the city was badly damaged during the war, and it lacks the charm of older quaint Dutch towns, it is a very interesting destination.

I am biased because I lived in Arnhem some time ago.
I am biased because I lived in Arnhem some time ago.
I just like the city, relaxed, calm but still full of life.
Lots of things to see, the Eusebius church is one of a kind and also several museums are worth to visit.
And do not forget the Dutch national park "De hoge Veluwe", the zoo "Burgers dierenpark", the river Rine, etc. etc.
Eating is not my priority but there are plenty of good restaurants around.... But yes, they all have a Dutch kind of character even if we call them Greek, Indonesian, Turkish, etc.

A very nice, green city.
A very nice, green city. Public transport is excellent, the connecting routes are very reliable, and on time. The park is amazing, with lots of geese and beautiful flowers, very green, and serene. It seemed very safe to walk in the streets, even in the evening. Lots of cafes, and the shopping area is huge, with options for all tastes and purses. Be careful at the bikes in the street, there are A LOT of people traveling the city by bike.
I would love to go back and explore more. 3 days isn't enough time to appreciate the place.

Good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
Good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
We had a recommendation from Dutch friends who live local to try Lestari an Indonesian restaurant, this was the best meal of our weeklong trip in Holland. This area contains many European and Asian restaurants.
The area we were in had a good feel and we all thought we should have spent more time there. We were passing through and the Bridge museum was our reason to be in the area. The museum was outstanding and to anyone interested in WW2 should not be missed.
Wauw, such a great place. Staff was so helpful and nice, especially the lady serving breakfast. She was very attentive and accommodating. The restaurant was filled with art and paintings and was so relaxing.
Location of the hotel was great, easy access to the highways by car and a bus just 2 min. walk away. The bus takes you straight into Arnhem in approx. 15 min.
Only "bad" thing was no elevator and a long stairway.
Friendly helpful staff, secure overnight bike storage in the garage, spacious room, excellent breakfast, Our room was above the restaurant facing the street. Nice shower. The price for the room included the breakfast which made it a really good value. Very close to the Netherlands Open Air Museum and the south entrance to the Hoge Veluwe National Park.
A lovely little BnB in Arnhem. We had 2 rooms on the second floor with a shared bathroom for our rooms only. We could walk downtown in 10 minutes; there was free street parking which our host kindly directed us to so it was easy to find. Excellent communication before and during our stay. Breakfast served to our room was fabulous!
I’m sorry to say that we did not enjoy our stay here at all. The hotel itself is in a lovely old house which is decorated in a pretty way. However not so the attic where our room was. Our room was small with a horrible toilet & shower room, both in cupboards. There was noise all night from the street outside too.
Hotel Staff was friendly and helpful. Our King size room was quite spacious, clean and comfortable. It had a mini fridge, TV, AC, locker, electric kettle and they also provided towels and shower accessories. Location is very good close to restaurants and shops and still quiet. I highly recommend
This is a very elegant old hotel. It was a short walk from the train station and near a beautiful park. The breakfast was fabulous served in a very lovely setting. The room was very comfortable and decorated very tastefully. I had a gorgeous view from the balcony off my room.
The people from the rental were nice on the phone and quick responders via email.
The kitchen appliances seem new even though I didn't use them.
The bathroom and toilets are new.
the location is ideal for young people who want to feel the city of Arnhem.
Nice and clean Apartment. The Arnheim Studios have all little Things you need. Very friendly Poeple who Shows us the Apartment.
Not long to the City and you got 3 Supermarkets in the near.
We can only say: Thanks for our stay. We will come again 😊
The hotel is very accommodating to people traveling with pets. The hotel restaurant and breakfast buffet were very nice as well. It is a great location if you are looking to visit de Hoge Veluwe and surrounding nature.
We loved the Location. We had a room on the frontside of the hotel and the windows are not 100% noise proof but this was not a dealbreaker. Parking behind the hotel was convenient..
Central location and a short walk to Centraal station. Friendly staff upon arrival, during breakfast and checking out. Hotel & room was very clean.
Bed was super comfortable.
