VNDG gives the most amazing views of Porto. A short walk across the bridge to the city. Its flat where I stayed but the city is very steep with lots of steps so wear sneakers. The tiled churches as stunning. Doing all the touristy things - I caught the cable car, the tram, the furnicular, shopped the markets, visited the churches, climbed the tower, booked for the Livraria Lella, had a glass of wine at the market, went to wine bars, Time Out market for dinner and Portuguese tarts with coffee.
I had a fabulous time and visited World of Wine as Porto is a Great Wine Capital.

There are good restaurands ,and not very expensive.
The riverside is lively and you should take a gable to the hillside.
It is not so far away from Porto so you can walk there.

Beautiful part of Porto, right over the river with plenty to do. Most of the Porto wine "caves" are on this side of the river but getting across is a quick uber ride. We did a Tuk Tuk tour as well and got to enjoy a Fado performance at night. New Years Eve dinner cruise was great but book ahead so you don't miss out! I would definitely visit again!

The area has plenty of interesting things to visit.
The area has plenty of interesting things to visit. Of course, the region is very well known for the vineyards and the respective Port wine cellars, which you can visit and even have a wine tasting. A walk by the river is also recommended.

Being across the river from the old town means gorgeous views and a wonderful relaxed vibe. So many great places to eat and drink all within a short walk. And the old town is easily accessible by foot, tram, even cable car. You are surrounded by the port warehouses, and other renovated industrial buildings. The whole area has had a recent facelift and the city as a whole is very safe and friendly. Everywhere you go the staff and shopkeepers go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing stay. Except the lady in the tourist information. She must have been having a bad day!

Location is in Gaia so the bedroom looked across the river to Porto. The manager was on site when we arrived at 3pm. She was super nice and friendly and getting set was easy. The unit was a 1 bedroom with a living room area with a small kitchen. Not really suitable if you're not going to be dining out but fully functional. Nespresso maker and hot water pot, a nice large continental breakfast, this was one of the best rooms we booked on our 4 week vacation to Portugal and France. and lots of good places to dine out if you do your research.
A small hotel located perfectly for visiting all the Port-wine cellars in Villa Nova de Gaja and also for Porto old town. The central station in Porto is just a 25 minute walk away.
At the hotel we had a very warm welcome, the staff is great and the breakfast very nice and cosy. The rooms provide more than enough space to stay a week and everything is nice and clean. The hotel is located a couple hundred meters away form the busy main road so it is nicely silent most of the time especially over night.
HIGHLY recommend!!!
close proximity to many restaurants and port tours. Just a short walk across bridge to Porto. Quiet at night. Carla was the best host. so friendly, gave us good tips on tourist attractions and anything we asked. Hotel is charming. Carla was a wealth of knowledge and provided so much intel for the area!! prior to our arrival , the company sent us instructions for our arrival with respect to code keys etc so no time was lost waiting around.( Carla was at site anyways so showed us all of the required codes or keys)
Once found, this was like a little oasis in the Porto region. The little house is completely enclosed in a very spacious yard with a pool and parking space. Although on the opposite side of Porto center, bus transport was close by, convenient and cheaper than parking. A large shopping area is within walking distance. Our host, Nino, was very helpful and knowledgeable. We so enjoyed sitting out on the terrace each evening. Both grocery store and restaurants were close by.
We chose this hotel because it had secured parking on site and was next to a shopping center with food court and grocery store. it also had a small table and refrigerator in the room so we could buy take away food and eat all our meals in our room due to Covid concerns. Normally we would not chose a hotel so far from tourist locations, each day we took an Uber into Porto for sightseeing.
Beautiful room with private balcony overlooking the Duoro River and the town of Porto. Great location with a back entrance that gives access to the town below. Wonderful dining facilities, so nice to have an after dinner drink in the evenings at Dick's Bar out on the Terrace and watch the sun going down over the town. Generally a beautiful Hotel. I will definitely want to come back.
Amazing hotel, amazing staff, especially Miguel who helped me with personal arrangements for our celebration. Very helpful staff provided recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. Couldn't fault it and will definitely return! Fantastic experience, probably the best hotel in Porto, certainly one of the best hotels I've stayed in (and I've stayed in thousands!).
The lady in the hotel was very gentle and helpful. Due to the fires in Portugal I could not make the initial reservation and showed up in the hotel three days earlier. Although both reservations were non-refundable she accepted to refund me for the non-show day. An excellent breakfast and very willing staff to help on everything we asked.

Views, location, lift to upper and lower level of the bridge. Really loved this hotel more than Porto. Every time I went out to find somewhere to have a quiet drink I found myself always heading back to the hotel because it was not packed with tourists and felt like calm amongst the chaos. Nice coffee machine and good shower pressure.
For my purpose - great location, right next to the highway, so easily reachable. Also, not far away from Porto city center and other city’s main attractions (10-15€ uber).
There is a shopping mall right next to the hotel, so great to buy gifts no need to waste time looking around through the city.
Hotel was easy to find and had secure parking garage for my motorbike. Reception staff were brilliant and helped us sort out the bus for going into the centre of Porto.
Room was clean with adequate space for the price. It also had a kettle for the the all important cup of tea!!!
The view of Porto is spectacular, sunset can’t be beat - the bed and bedding is comfortable - nice to have a fridge and kettle. The room is nicely decorated. Great location, very close to the river and the bridge over to Porto
My favorite hotel in Porto. Or just south of Porto. It is not my first nor last time staying here. I absolutely love the amenities and the staff are so attentive. Breakfast is delicious and the rooms are large.
Friendly low key hotel in a beautiful and quiet setting in the perfect location for exploring Porto. The people working at this hotel went out of their way to ensure that we had a great stay, which we did!
The hotel was lovely, so was the staff location good room was lovely and to our surprise we was upgraded, thank you. We are stopping again in the Hilton Porto in two weeks time, I am hoping it’s as nice
Great location, really easy access to Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. Literally located next to the Port wine caves. Property was very good and met our expectations for cleanliness and features
