We needed a property close to the train station and you really cannot get any closer! As we needed to check-out very early in the morning, they even prepared as a separate breakfast buffet for us - we were really not expecting that! Great stay overall.

Breakfast offers you a lot of options to have a short stay in, it doesn't change every morning, but in general, it's okay for 1-3 days. Waiters are refilling dishes till the end of breakfast time, so you don't need to rush to be on time to have something to eat. In the hall, you can enjoy a funny game.

Generally a safe and pretty place to visit, the park was huge and very well maintainted, the Haga district was great and the restaurants and bars are generally great for hanging out. Using public transport tickets it's possible to ride the ferries to the islands, a huge plus!!

I travelled with my friends and I really did not like the city. People there were rude and not accessible enough for tourists like us. We went to one of the clubs named yakida in night after dinner, the guard simply denied our entry and said only guest list people are allowed. But he was allowing every other person from their own country very easily without checking anything.
We felt discriminated there. Tried to ask people here and there but no fruitful response.
Addition to this, There was not too many things to see in gothenburg. I really didn’t like it that much. And would not recommend to anyone.

Gothenburg is not that touristic so don’t expect to find a lot of attractions. It’s great for shopping, I specially liked the tons of second hand and vintage stores around. Also, there are so many delicious vegan restaurants. I’m not vegan but I was fascinated.
Another tip is to go to the islands around to take a walk and a coffee. You can get there pretty easy and the same ticket for the train serves for the ferry.

You have to go to Hagastaden.
You have to go to Hagastaden. We found a lovely fish restaurant which was a godsend while walking in the blizzard.
Strange that the bar Paddys had a man serving who insisted on calling me sir and knew nothing about alcohol.
The bar a few doors down; John Scotts closed about 7 pm. This may be usual for Gothenburg, I have no idea.

Very small city so not much to do if you're there longer than 3 days maybe. We went for the Christmas Markets, for 2 nights, so that was the perfect amount of time and we did everything we wanted to do. Lovely atmosphere and the food is yummy (the Swedish meatballs). Liseberg theme park is huge and a good activity. Haga is good for little cafes.
1. There were plenty of shower rooms.
2. I got the new bed, pillow cover and it was clean.
3. The kitchen was big and clean.
4. The reception manager was kind.
5. The biggest park and Zoo, Skansen Kronan, Gothenburg Museum of Natural History Göteborgs are nearby the hotel. (10mins walk).
And it’s 25-30mins walk to Gothenborg City Station.
In the other hand, some people didn’t wash the dishes they used. I think that’s embrassing and not nice.
Anyway, The facility was perfect!
If I come Gothenborg again, I want to stay this hotel!
Have been here years ago and was already good by then. Now with the renewal, it was even better. The staff properly read the notes, request put at booking time. Breakfast was excellent as well as offered water at lobby (customer minded as usual).
Polite staff deserve a 5 star too.
Atrium restaurant burger and fish and chips were good for reasonable price.
Recently, we stayed in same Radisson hotel group in a different city but was not near the quality provided in Göteborg. Strongly recommend here.
The breakfast was so wonderful, and the staff was incredibly kind. My room was spotless, and the Wifi worked perfectly. The location was great; it took me less than fifteen minutes with public transit to get into the city center, and I could've walked in about 20. It is very close to the train station for travel throughout Sweden (or elsewhere) and to the bus station for taking the shuttle to the airport. I could not recommend this place more highly! It was a fantastic stay.
Exceptional experience of this newly renovated place! Our room was spacious. Although it's just the two of as a couple. It is perfect for family as there is an added room with a double deck bed in the room. A perfect place in the city centre right beside the biggest theme park.
Service was helpful and great from our first check-in upon an early arrival. The public transport was outside too. And the restaurants had impeccable service. The Breakfast spread is a MUST include!
It is a very tidy and clean apartment. I went to sweden for an important examination. It made me happy to have high quality sleep before the exam.Because there was no noise at all.
Some of my friends in centeral hotels regretted to be in hostels because of noise and bad odours. . The person who owns the place was very helpful and respectful. Even at the 04.00 am in the morning he helped me to figure out public transport to airport.
The hotel is located near the city centre of Gothenburg and is still easily accessible by car. Our room was not extraordinary, but clean and despite the orientation towards the street rather quiet.
What's really lovable about Hotel Allén is the opportunity to bake waffles in the breakfast room in the evening. As good is the breakfast itself with a wide range of options.
Also worth mentioning is the very friendly hotel staff :)
A nice surprise on my 4weeks long trip. Traditional hotel ...at the moment decorated in Halloween mood. Nice job. There is not a negative word to be said about the place. Actually there are my thanks to Moa (reception) and restaurant team for their hospitality and kindness.
Walking distance to Attractions Park and also to the city center.
Once in Göteborg, would stay again.
it was a wonderful time!
the hotel is amazing and has so much history preserved!
the staff was wonderful: super helpful and seemed to enjoy their workplace and that is very important I think.
the breakfast was nice and the hotel was clean.
next time we come to Göteborg we plan on staying at the same hotel. ❤️
Staff were super friendly and did an incredible job, the decor was stylish, and the bar just outside the front door was amazing for sundowners (you don’t need to be a guest at the hotel to come here though). The breakfast was plentiful and delicious! The location is perfect to get everywhere in Göteborg.
The location was good for my needs, being just ten minutes' walk to the Stena terminal. The facility was nice and well-appointed; had I been there longer, I might have enjoyed the amenities. The breakfast spread was thorough, though the eggs were undercooked to my taste (I found that common in Sweden).
I chose the location because I expected it was close to the Central Station, but with my big surprise the hotel is located up the station. So, it will be very confortable if you choose to go to Goteborg by train or bus.
The room is big and confortable, and the breakfast very good.
The breakfast was quite good in comparison to other hotels I've stayed in Sweden. The room was OK. We got a pet-friendly room on the 5th floor and they had put a little bag of snacks for the dogs, which was nice. Very friendly staff. Parking was good and reasonably priced.
What an amazing hotel, especially for families. Staff are really friendly, the decoration is so unique, food is great and a very good location, close to Liseberg Park, world of volvo and universeum. It also has good access to the city centre by public transport.
The room was bigger than the most average hotel rooms in Gothenburg!
The fact that the dinner was included was great!
The food and drinks were excellent!
The staff were super helpful!
Breakfast was very good for the price of the hotel. Parking was free and we were allowed to stay before checking in and also AFTER we checked out which saved us a lot of money!
