The dinner at the Cheshire Cat Inn was exceptional. Everything we had over the 3-night stay was delicious. Love the Bohemian flair of the rooms, gardens, and lounge! The "cottage" was tucked away in a corner on the ground floor so it was very quiet. The furnishings were terrific, and I particularly enjoyed the large claw foot bathtub in the room, although some may be put off by the location right in the bedroom (there is a wonderful shower in the private bathroom if privacy is a concern). Lovely to soak after a long flight from the US and train ride from London! The staff graciously allowed us to stow our luggage after checkout so we could wander about unencumbered. They also assisted with getting luggage down the stairs at the entrance.

We've stayed at the ABode many times and love the setting and location. Right in the heart of Chester, it's easy to walk to shops and restaurants, and the cathedral and city wall. The Abode rooms are very comfortable; breakfasts are delicious. Staff have always been helpful and courteous. Parking is conveniently located under the hotel.
