訳あってチェックインが日付けの変わる頃になってしまった。連絡も出来ず、本当にご迷惑と御心配をかけたのに、にこやかな笑顔で迎えて頂きました。タクシーが宿前に止まると、入り口のドアが開いてスタッフが出て来てくださった。深夜です。心配は怒りに変わってもおかしくない状況でしたが、良かった…と優しくハグしてくれたのです。本当に嬉しかった。ありがとう。 お部屋も朝食も勿論最高でした。

The dinner at the Cheshire Cat Inn was exceptional. Everything we had over the 3-night stay was delicious. The room at the annexe/Innkeeper's lodgings was very charming, clean, comfortable and very well appointed. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved everything about this stay. Love the Bohemian flair of the rooms, gardens, and lounge! The "cottage" was tucked away in a corner on the ground floor so it was very quiet. The furnishings were terrific, and I particularly enjoyed the large claw foot bathtub in the room, although some may be put off by the location right in the bedroom (there is a wonderful shower in the private bathroom if privacy is a concern). Lovely to soak after a long flight from the US and train ride from London! The staff graciously allowed us to stow our luggage after checkout so we could wander about unencumbered. They also assisted with getting luggage down the stairs at the entrance.

We've stayed at the ABode many times and love the setting and location. Right in the heart of Chester, it's easy to walk to shops and restaurants, and the cathedral and city wall. The Abode rooms are very comfortable; breakfasts are delicious. Staff have always been helpful and courteous. Parking is conveniently located under the hotel.
