We stayed 2 nights here at the Hawthornbank in Oban and our host Ian was great. The guest house is sparkling clean as are the rooms. And the breakfast in the morning was brilliant too. Parking is available right at the hotel. Highly recommended.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. Lovely tradional decor. Very friendly and super efficient staff. Our room was spotless and extremely comfortable. It's about a 5 minute drive into Oben town. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant, and I have to say the steak and ale pie that we both thoroughly enjoyed was the best we've ever had!! hats off to the chef. The staff were all quite young, dont let that be a judgement, they were the most efficient, attentive and polite team I've ever seen and there an asset to this hotel, an extra shout out to Finley, he was absolutely fabulous with the service he gave us. The breakfast was lovely and you had lots of choice and again great service. We would highly recommend a stay here.

We had a sea view room and it was so peaceful and gorgeous. But even if you don't have a sea view room, you are just a right outside the promenade and can easily spend hours looking out at the sea and watching the ferries go by. It was obvious that time and attention had been paid to the design and the rooms were very clean and the decor was excellent. The on-suite bathroom was excellent. Staff were very helpful and very friendly and the breakfast was really very good. I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
