We were housed in a peaceful nook of the castle, but we were still within easy walking distance of the town square and its many shops and restaurants. The only challenge is navigating the tight streets with our bags because they are either cobblestone or medieval pavement.

The room was very clean and cosy. The decoration was very beautiful. Everything was like at the photos and even better. The kitchen was also well equipped and the stuff really helpful! The breakfast and the breakfast area were exceptional! The house is very very close to the place where you can swim.

We felt like we were staying with family. Hosts Theofanni and Christos were very helpful and informative and their passion for the preservation of the Montemvasia history and heritage was wonderful. Downstairs is a library and art gallery which was very interesting and added to the uniqueness of the property. Breakfast was served on outdoor balcony. (Extra charge supplied by nearby cafe) was substantial with the best homemade spanakopita, Greek yoghurt and honey and omelette. The hotel is very stylishly decorated. Adults only policy makes for a serene stay. Very good communication from hosts about how to get there and heads up about the rocky undulating nature of the walkways plus many steps. You wouldn’t want to be dragging heavy luggage from car into castle compound and to hotel so it was good they informed us at time of booking.

Beautifully renovated historic building - wishing we had stayed longer in this archeological site where you meander through the cobblestone streets of the old town following horses carrying goods to houses/hotels (as no cars can enter) We had great food in the tavernas & snacks at the bakeries looking out to aqua ocean.

Staff were very friendly, the accomodation was well kept, had a great view from our balcony and restaurant. Breakfast included was a la cart which we really liked.
