We booked the Belvedere room. Not for people with a problem with stairs, but for others, an amazing room. A private flight of stone stairs leads up from the second floor of the hotel to the bathroom level of this suite, then, up another circular staircase to the bedroom. Windows on all four sides of the room. Quite unique.

Buses nearby to the station.

Housed in a charming 17th-century building, Hotel Spa Le Calendal is located in the historical centre of Arles, between the Antic Theatre and the Amphitheatre. Very welcoming staff and the hotel is like a cultural center right in the middle of Arles, next to the amphitheater. Beautiful cafe’ overlooking Arles and enjoying the daily life of Arles. Great breakfast, varied and healthy. And there is a spa with a very lush Roman bath with the view of the Amphiteater.

Hotel De La Muette is situated in the centre of Arles old town, only 100 metres from the arenas. My room was very thoughtfully arranged. The hotel is in the historic area, so space is limited AND very fun and unusual alternatives. For example, not room for a closet? No worries! An historic harness can be suspended with 4-6 hangers which is all we needed and less leaving things behind! Location is amazing 2 or 3 minute walk to the Rhone River. Couldn't be better AND our cars are tights fits on ancient roads! Breakfast included homemade yocurt and jams and was a great serve yourself set up!
